  1. so much easier to lift frame over engine, and if you are in a hurry you don't even need to remove the front and rear ends. I did have to get a fat mate to help with this method though
  2. U = 1000-1099cc 7 = 4 stroke 4 05 = is the 5th version of that series engine.
  3. A lot, the mk 2 cdi is much smaller and the plugs are different, not inter- changeable, also the mk 2 had leccy speedo, the plugs for the ignition pick up and the alternator are different. not all of the changes happened at 2001 which was the new model year though..
  4. just need a oil cooler and pipes and the headlight throwing in the canal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the rest is shiny though
  5. Already booked for the VJMC one on Saturday, waiting for the entry to open for the Classic bike track day on the Friday so Ill be there as well. both days, At last something down near Trowbridge the cosmic centre of the universe, not up north near Scotland
  6. my 'arris with gsxr 1100 engine and complete mk 2 bandit electrics. your right about the shape of the mk2 clocks
  7. Done it several times, the easiest way is to buy a complete mark 2 bandit loom and switch gear, and use that with, like dezza said, a teapot or mk2 bandit sprocket cover, drill amd tap the noutput shaft and bolt the speedo sensor trigger to the shaft, over in Trumpland where you are all the bits will be dirt cheap.
  8. And the model code is the 3 letter BJV for this one, ill have a look at the wheels I have at home
  9. Ain't no adults round here but yes same spacing
  10. Whats the length of your dog bones and what rear shock have you got on there??
  11. Lowering the rear will make it handle like a pig on stilts, keep the ride height the same at the rear, or even raise it slightly to aid turn in. have you actually checked how much if any clearance you will have once the forks are fitted???
  12. First take the time to read the rules matey You don't need 50 mm extenders, you can get away with 25mm shorter than standard, 775mm, so 750 ish mm will be fine, the cheapest and easiest way, is to make a stepped yoke out of the one you have, then you can retain the steering damper, not that any bandit ive ridden actually needs a damper... ive done this to several of the bandits ive had,,
  13. 1100 M push rod LH 23111-05A01 101.5mm from the parts list. all oily slingshots are the same part number.
  14. you need a pair, the top yoke you have has a different stem offset to the later GSXR yokes, so you need a 54mm bottom yoke from 1990 to 1992 oil cooled, all the water-cooled slingshots and later SRAD/K series have different offset, as long as you get a pair that match it doesn't really matter as you will need wheel spacers and stuff.. and of course you need to consider the different diameters of the steering stems
  15. No they are differant, the Mark 1 Hayabusa, TL1000 S and R are the same as the SRAD 750, 6 inch rear, the 600 SRAD has a 5.5 rear all the fronts are the same, The k series fronts are narrower at the HUB and the disc mounting faces are slightly different. rear wheel spindles are 32mm SRAD/TL/Busa and 28 mm K series..
  16. so if i use the lightest ones I can have another pie
