  1. Makes perfect sense CC......as far as venting goes , I assume the tank vent is enough for gravity to function properly …..will need to check the flow with the line connected .
  2. just a thought here …….since my project build will have a "in-tank" pump as I would like to keep the pump temps down.......and since space on the Kat tank is limited for some sort of additional reservoir to keep the pump from fuel starvation during lower fuel level conditions…..I was thinking of putting a secondary reservoir or swirl pot in the free space behind the motor . this reservoir would house the fuel pump and be gravity fed with a -8 or -10 line from the main tank . some of my concerns are venting and return line from FPR back into the secondary tank or main tank . I am probably missing something here so any feedback would be great .
  3. welcome ! nice color scheme and looks unmolested …….great find
  4. t25...….2554 or 2560 ? both good for 200+ hp but max out 250-270 . @leblowski has used both the tdo4 and 2560 on his bikes I believe.....he would be the best to ask for a direct comparison
  5. manifold mounted external gate ......
  6. Carbon sealed Garrett I presume ? You building the header or is it a Mr Turbo jobbie ? bike looks sinister slammed !
  7. internal gates can be ported to resolve boost creep issues …...and as said above can also manage high power outputs . easier to set-up and make for a cleaner install . External gates can also suffer boost creep when improperly installed ….and I have seen quite a few at bad angles . Properly installed external gates will always manage boost better at higher levels as well …...but I don't see too many 400+ hp turbo bikes rolling around on the streets...…..to each his own I guess .
  8. MTC list the busa slugs @ $615 USD …….Gsxr/Bandit $537 USD for proper turbo pistons...…..less messing about with the proper ones too .
  9. have you priced MTC pistons ?
  10. how much spray do you plan on adding to your boost set -up ? …...and we all seem to spend more dosh on "budget builds" than intended in the first place ….fuckin' addiction . that ET....great foundation to build on
  11. That is a really nice Kat ! great job on the build .
  12. Jon..... are these GJG's from the old site ?
  13. …..I kept the frame mounted pegs on my other Kat just for this reason .
  14. yes.....cut out all the lower cross structures and replaced with longer ones . removed the pivot shaft mounts as well . I do believe it is in my build thread "project Katastrophic" and " no class kat something something....."
  15. I had a look at your frame bracing and suspension supports......that is why I ruled out the frame widening method on your bike . your only option is to "notch" and box the frame in the chain run area....looks like shit , but still effective .
  16. …….both of my Kats are running 6" rears and still have 6mm clearance from chain to inner frame rail . The method I used would require too much modifications on your current frame set up …...you already welded in the bracing .
  17. ...... perhaps a propa introduction before the quest for knowledge ?
  18. Yes..,, quite pricey... but buying a used one ( usually damaged and not the right color) evens out after being repaired and painted to match the rest of the oem parts already on the bike .
  19. The side panels are still available from Suzuki ..... you may even get the same color .
  20. oooooh that is a nice one !....now get the grinder out ….mooouuhhahahahaha
  21. Just want to add my findings concerning the 01'-03' gsxr 600 throttle bodies onto a oil cooled gsxr / b12. ( not the 2007 gsxr 600 tb's above)..... the closest configuration is 13110 / 13110 / 13140 / 13140 intakes ( I used the 1100 L ). Using the above mentioned method or with 1/4" thick flap wheel . Setting depths is important . The throttle bodies will fit this configuration but since there is a slight difference in center to ceter spacing ....it will require some muscle to pop them in .
  22. The 3 prong relay for hazard , 2 prong for blinker only . There are a few models with the self cancelling module .... looks like you have one on yours .
