  1. .......sorry mate I didn’t see you
  2. ...... it’s an acronym .
  3. ...... the gs / gsx baskets in stock form are junk ..... cast aluminum junk .....the stock clutch hub nut is also an issue .....the basket develops a rattle over time even with the beefed up springs and rivet kit .....eventually will even explode when slightly abused . the attached image is a stock basket with the modified back plate / straight cut gear... 1230cc ..... exploded during a 5 gear burnout . too bad the efe was not equiped with a steel basket gsxr type way back then ..... bullet proof .
  4. I recal that the output shafts on the m/n models had double row bearings such as the b12. The 1052 models have single row outputshaft bearings as well as the 89-90 1127’s . there is a “C” groove on the lower cases that keep the bearing secure.... this will vary on the models with single row bearings compared to double row . lower crankcase 89-90 have different part number from 91-92 ..... possibly due to the double row bearing groove ?
  5. @Kid Kearsley posted a contact number for a chap that does a nice job at a great price..... just another option .
  6. mount it where YOU can access it without any grief ...... it will be mounted out of sight so who cares what the bracket “ looks” like.....
  7. ..... when I bought my first efe in 1985 it had less than 12k on it..... the suspension was on the soft side and the adjustments never realy did much ...... so I highly doubt any type of rebuild will put it in a sport bike style handling class.....so basically they are crap even in new conditon .
  8. are the dog bones stock ? shortened at some point ?
  9. the only cv carb with accelerator pump that I can think of ..... is the first gen twin cam ditch pumps....
  10. the engine mounts should be made to your particular set up .... there is no “one size fits all” per say.... those drawings may have worked for the original fabricator but may create some issues for you.....not all header pipes are made the same and may hit the front down tubes ..... put the motor too far back and you will need extensions on your header pipes......which imo look like crap......the sprocket to pivot angle is important as you don’t want your chain to contact the swinger pivot ....or create tight / loose spots on the chain during suspension travel.... or angle the motor too much where the collector sits too low....
  11. the original sleeves for that frame/swingarm.......should slip inside the new swingarm.........as for example.... a katana sleeve fits a gsxr
  12. usually you can just fit the inner sleeves .... keeping your spindle size the same .....
  13. ..... maybe you could try here
  14. yes.... shaft is fubar.....
  15. at least the seat isn’t brown.....
  16. wish I knew about that kind of stuff.... one day I will get there..,, with alot of practice .
  17. you may want to check the rear of the clutch basket oil pump drive gear
  18. a cometic mls head gasket ( gsxr 1216 application) ......yes... other gasket types may vary ....
  19. the spacer is used to correct the deck height....setting a proper squish (.035-.040) basically the thickness of a cometic mls head gasket ......it is an important to get this right . there are other variables involved when mix matching rods (longer/ shorter) piston speed , piston dwell time etc.... do your research .
  20. .....why bother disrespecting the turbo gods .
