  1. Went to Harris recently to get my frame repaired and asked about some Ohlins forks. They said 'why pay for Ohlins, get a set of recent forks, get them modded with a cartridge kit and they will be as good as Ohlins.' Just saying that most recent forks can be made much better with a decent up-grade kit on them. But you pays your money you takes your pick. Still love a set of the gold ones on the front of the bike tho.
  2. Been there , done that !! Now after a couple of drinks I tend to put the spanners down and concentrate on drinking !!
  3. Nice to see a bike findings its way home. Hopefully you got paid out more than the $500 you had to pay to get it back. And it don't cost too much to get it back in to the condition you had it in originally.
  4. Should be a bit further along by then but I'm sure you'll have better bikes to show. But yeah , keep me in mind. Should start a thread really in Special Frames. Or if anyone else needs a bike bringing along to show from the Peterborough area then I have space in a van to help with transport.
  5. Not sure I can tell the difference between any of the bandtits !!
  6. @PaulmHI Paul, hopefully uploading some photo's but I don't think this ready to be 'shown' yet.
  7. Not sure that I can stretch to a set of those tho ........
  8. All this makes total sense but.............having said that I do fancy a set of FCR's
  9. @vizmanHi viz, its worse now than when you sorted the wiring out. I uncovered some frame damage that had been filled and painted over. Thought it was best repaired and checked over by Harris. So its pretty much a frame up rebuild.
  10. @PaulmI've got a half built Harris 4 that looks like its going to take all year to get back in a rideable state. Hardly a 'show' bike. And even when built will be a bike for riding and enjoying. But if you want a half built bike 'with potential'.....................I'm your man !!
  11. That is one great looking bike.
  12. I always thought the idea of a run on the dyno was for the operator to sort the fuelling out to the optimum or at least the best compromise. Forgive me if I'm wrong but shouldn't the adjustments be made by the operator and then another run to confirm settings going in the right direction ? Seems strange to come away and still be 'guessing' where to go with settings.
  13. Not heard of Ashby Folville before. I assume its a ride out/meet ? Seems like a nice ride from my home as well. Is it a Sunday ride out ?
  14. Who the hell are you.......
  15. I really wish I had even the slightest understanding of the last 6 or 7 posts. still gonna follow but my head is fried !!
  16. Ignitech do their own quickshifter triggers and rods. Not actually fitted mine yet but looks easy enough.
  17. I know the blue is a signature colour of Nitron shocks and makes the quality instantly recognisable BUT the black springs suit the colours of this build much better. IMHO.

Hi, and does any one where to purchase these left hand drill bits ?
  19. I have the same titanium coloured spring on my Nitron. I do like and appreciate the Nitron blue colour but it is hard to match in with most colour schemes.
  20. Not candy apple green , as per the old frame colour.
  21. Most motocross bikes have a similar chain guide arrangement to what you have made. Might be tricky finding one thats the exact shape that suits your swing arm size and profile. But they are are available.
  22. And if it improves power to weight ratio ??
