  1. Hi guys I know its an old thread, just wanted to post a picture of the bike after I got the paint finished. Covid slowed progress down allot. Base colour was Duplicolor Inferno Red covered in SprayMax 2k clear coat. Sand and buff after. It didn't turn out too bad considering it was rattlecans and sprayed in my shed. I have the decals just letting the paint cure for another week or so. Cheers Paul
  2. You guys are right i just dont like the look of the MK2s. I apologize about the cafe racer comment. Now to dig out that EZ frame. Cheers Paul
  3. Thanks Blubber, now I do have a spare EZ frame in the shed!! decisions decisions. Cheers Paul
  4. Hi guys. So this Bandit 1200 sort of fell into my lap for cheap. Not sure what to do with it? Bike runs good. I don't see many MK2's modified? Was thinking maybe a cafe racer? I already have a 1999 MK1 and they seem to be the preferred model to modify. I don't want to leave it as is. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers Paul
  5. Sure here you go. The bushing centers the top clamp. I made it a little undersize in length to allow it to tighten down without bottoming out on the bushing. Cheers
  6. Swiss i had to make a bushing as the RF900 stem was short. The bushing sits flush with the top clamp then i used th RF bolt. Cheers
  7. A better picture to show the whole thing and how the clocks sit. I used an RF900 lower clamp and the stock Bandit top clamp. Just had to make a small bushing for the top clamp to the RF stem. All good. Cheers Paul
  8. Yes sir Swiss. We like em nice and tight. Cheers
  9. That is some nice machining Gsxrsam. I got it sorted, now to clean up and paint. Cheers guys.
  10. Thanks Slabby Just mocking up the final piece. I cut the two mounting parts of the original Bandit bracket and will bolt this adapter to it then mount the GS clock to that. Been a fun little project during lockdown. Cheers Paul
  11. Ok so still working out the "brackology". lol I might cut up the old Bandit speedo bracket and use that. Cheers Paul
  12. Hi guys. Been on here for awhile thought I would ask my first question as I'm in the middle of swapping my suspension on my 82 GS1100EZ to Bandit front end and rear wheel. I'm originally from Yorkshire now living in Canada. Does anybody have a picture/drawing/sketch on how they mounted the original GS1100 clocks to a Bandit 1200 top triple clamp? Don't want to reinvent the wheel if its been done before. Cheers Paul
