  1. Oh shit ! didn't realise that, just assumed they was USD. that's saved me a few quid , cheers.
  2. Hi, thanks for the answer but what I was after is the fork diameter of the aluminium stanchion where it clamps in to the bottom yoke. Basically I'm trying to fit GSXR1000 K1 forks in to GSXR1100 front end. On a Harris Mag 4. I bought some GSXR1000 yokes but found them to be bent when fitting them. B*ll*cks !! Just want some cheap yokes to try out my options and feasibility. cheers
  3. Hi, any one out there know the fork diameter where they clamp into the bottom yoke on an SV1000S ? Looked on Sam's conversion chart but can't see the SV1000s on there. cheers
  4. Hi All, Another question that I'm sure has been answered or talked about on here in the past but I can't find it. I have heard that some GSXR1000 exhausts will fit on a GSXR1100 engine. If this is fact, which model of GSXR1000 will fit ? I just like the idea of some titanium on my bike somewhere. Any help or answers greatly appreciated.
  5. OK, thanks for the reply. Looks like I need to hit Eblag for a side stand. A more detailed phot of where the bracket fixes to the frame would be handy if its easy enough for you to do ? cheers
  6. Yeah, that's exactly the same as happened to mine. Looks like you found a neat way round it tho. What bike is your side stand off ? cheers.
  7. Hi All, I'm sure I've read here about the side stands failing or breaking on Mag 4's ? Well mine has cracked/snapped the engine case. Is there a solution for this problem ? Thanks
  8. Hi Dupersunc, Thanks for your reply. Looks like I'll be looking for some GSXR1100L cams to get reground and then some slotted sprockets to suit. cheers
  9. To be truthful it was the slotted sprockets I was after as well. There's a set on Eblag from a bandit with slotted sprockets. I guess these won't fit a say what now!? ?
  10. So the cam sprockets aren't the same ?
  11. Hi Del, Its an L model engine with screw/locknut valve adjustment. That's why I thought the bandit cams might fit.
  12. Hi All, Will a set of Bandit 1200 cams fit into a Slingshot GSXR1100 engine ? Looking at getting a spare set of cams to re-grind and not many GSXR1100 cams seem to come on to the market. Advice appreciated. Thanks
  13. Hi, thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to run the 135's for a bit and see how it performs. Then strip down over the winter and dyno time in the spring.
  14. Hi Foz, Mine are RS36's and came with 135 mains and 17.5 pilots, so that seems like a good starting point just to check everything out. Still going to use the standard carbs for a few more shake down runs before swapping over to the RS's.
  15. Hi All, So I've finally got hold of a set of RS36's for the GSXR1100l engine in the Harris. And now I need your collective help on a base setting before I can get it dyno'd. The engine was bought as a 1216cc but not been able to confirm this yet. With standard cams. It runs a full Harris 4-2-1 with a very un-restrictive end can. Looking for a bit of advice at where I need to be with jet sizes and air screw settings etc, so some informed suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks y'all.
  16. Still works ! And well happy with it.
  17. Hi bud, thanks for the reply and would be looking for where you're located but I now have a new loom on the bike and working thanks to Vizman. Top bloke and top job. I'll be ready for an MOT next week. Hopefully................
  18. Thanks for the offer of help tho. And if you do ever get some time on your hands.......
  19. I would pay for 17 hours of work even at £40 an hour ! And then some connectors and wire. £1500 for 2 days work , even taking out a good sum for parts , is a bit rich in my view.
  20. Hi, Yeah I've already got the crimping pliers and jap spec connectors from vehicle wiring products. Definitely no pre-insulated connectors will go on it. Its ending up with a tidy loom on the frame that I'm trying to get at the end. I guess its just the confidence to start that I lack. Just going to have to go for it !!
  21. Yeah I know what your saying and o have stripped the old loom down and bought some new connectors etc. I will give it a go but lack a bit of confidence I guess. Happily pay a bloke for a day to get me on the right track but don't want to pay over £500 a day for the privilege.
  22. Hi All, Wanting to try and sort my wiring loom out on the Harris and been given some really big quotes. I would love to pay these prices but £1500 for a custom loom seems to be a lot to me. Anyone out there that knows of a decent old school auto sparks that would be able to lend a hand ? I don't mind paying but there is a limit ! I am in the Peterborough area but am happy to travel a reasonable distance. Or are there any custom looms out there that I could purchase off the shelf and adapt a bit ? Only want really basic. No indicators. No side stand switch. No clutch cut out switch. You know the score.
