  1. Don't the manual say something about tying a piece of cotton round the valve ? In case it falls into the tyre as in this case ??
  2. @Captn@Gixer1460read through this, where can I get a wideband O2 sensor and gauge from ? Looking at going this route for my own bike, to see what it tells me about the state of my own bike.
  3. @Gsxrsamso have you tried the Newvu stands, the adjustable ones ? Or just the box section welded ones ?
  4. @GsxrsamA heavy duty version of the Newvu stand ? The blue one ? Do they fit the GSXR1100 engine ? How sturdy are they ? cheers
  5. Anybody out there tried these engine stands ? https://www.newvu.co.uk/classic-bike-parts
  6. I may be looking at this a bit simplistically but...……. if its a compression problem then take the spark plugs out and see how it spins over then ?? If it spins freely then it points towards a compression problem ?
  7. Well that clears that up !!
  8. @SiBagyes got it now. I really am shite with this technology stuff !
  9. @Bowthanks, that's the info I needed. But photo is a little blurry can you please confirm the hole diameter ? And do you know what size of box section the frame work is ? I'm guessing 25mm ? thanks again.
  10. @Swiss Tonihi bud, I've tried searching for an old post on here for any details on the engine stand dimensions but it brings up 83 posts ! Looked through quite a few but no success. If you can find the other dimensions it would be appreciated. No rush. thanks
  11. @Swiss Tonithanks. that's a great help. is there another view showing the heights of the four 'legs' and hole positions ? cheers
  12. I need to get my engine out of the frame and on to the bench for some maintenance and a stand would be handy. Does anyone have a drawing of how to fabricate one ? cheers
  13. @jonny1bump yeah they have landed and look real good. On another note, how are you getting on with stripping the gsxr1100/1000 yokes off your bike ? cheers bud.
  14. @jonny1bumphi bud, just checking that you have got the cash. No rush on sending spacers. cheers
  15. @jonny1bumpHi, just read this post , any of the spacers left ? I'll have a set. cheers
  16. Had a look at the chart again and went for a GSXR600K1 yoke as per the list but its wrong, I think. Early GSXR600K series have RWU forks ?

  18. Looks like GSXR600 early K series are about the cheapest.
  19. Hi, gonna be using a 1000K1 wheel, forks, and brakes. And swapping the 1100 steering stem into the 1000 bottom yoke.
  20. Yeah, I can see that now. And I thought Suzuki stuff was supposed to be interchangeable !! Looks like I still need a set of straight GSXR1000 K1 yokes.
  21. Hi, now that I've been told that TL forks are RWU I've binned the idea of using a TL yoke. Basically I'm trying to fit a GSXR1000 K1 front end on to my Harris which has a GSXR1100L front on it now. Really wanted Ohlins but they are getting fookin expensive now ! The 1000's are shorter so I've got some top extenders made but the GSXR1000 bottom yoke I bought is bent !
