  1. I had a tank from a bike which had been standing for a while with some water in the fuel. Emptied it, filled it with vinegar, after a few days I drained it and all the rust came out. Tank is as good as new now.
  2. ride out earlier today. With my 7/11.
  3. just remove all the broken bits (including the connecting rod) and it will run on 3. #firstworldproblems
  4. regardless of which gear it's in? If yes, electrical cause

  6. yes, on a 750 the carbs don't sit much lower than on an 1100. Or you would have to use an 1100 head on a 750 J/K bottom end.
  7. it's affecting the charging system, low voltage means weaker spark. Ideally it should charge 14,5V with or without lights on.

    TT meet

does @Rene EFE have a bike ready for the TT yet? Or is it still too early?
  9. most electric problems are because of a mechanical failure. Have you checked all the plugs/connections are clean? Not just the generator and reg/rec ones, also the handlebar switches etc.
  10. at max lean angle. Right turn in this case would put a big load on the modified area.
  11. I said it before and I'll say it again.
  12. You're lucky, I'm sitting in the garage with my laptop. 750M barrels (gasket face to gasket face) 75mm, B12 barrels 88mm.
  13. still available new from Suzuki. https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/suzuki-genuine-parts/6823345200-emblem-magneto.aspx
  14. I'm probably the only one in the universe to use a standard exhaust system. Less restrictive 4-1 needs bigger jets of course.
  15. I have a powerscreen engine with standard 4-2 exhaust from an 1100L, carbs and airbox from a 750L. K&N filter in the airbox, 142,5 main jets in the otherwise stock carbs. 3 degrees ignition advance. Runs quite well, pulls all along the rev range.
  16. they are completely different, 750 is much smaller, an oilcooled lump is a snug fit. Aircooled 1100 does not fit in 750 frame.
