  1. Power difference probably in cam profile. The F has 34mm carbs and the G has 36mm ones. F carbs (metal tops) are very well suited for turbo use. Helical primary gear is only a problem on glued together crankshafts, not on one piece oilcooled ones (according to FBM). Volusia is 800cc right? Or is there also a 1500cc version?
  2. I wonder how well a spoked wheel would cope with turbo power.
  3. Welcome to OSS. That front end looks like from a GSX-R1100 to me.
  4. Dealers don't stock stuff like that, but they can order from the importers/factory. Welcome to OSS by the way. From another Cloggie.
  5. if it ran shortly on 4 earlier, probably the spark plugs need replacing. These oilcooled engines have a habit of eating spark plugs in situations like this (repeated cold starts).
  6. I could not find the pics which were supposed to be on the hard disc, but since the bike was on the bench anyway I took some new pics. Headers are B12, cans are GSX-R1100M, in between are some bits of tube my mate Saulius glued together for me.
  7. can't say from just that one pic
  8. I made a twin exhaust to fit on standard B12 headers (very similar to Inazuma headers, if not the same) on my EFE. Will post some pics this weekend when at home.
  9. needs a top box and flip-up windscreen for that ultimate sleeper look
  10. only 748cc teapots have the dothead, from 1998 they got the 749cc long stroke engine so yes teapot 749cc is out. http://www.suzukicycles.org/All-Suzuki/all_suzuki_models.html
  11. I think 40mm longer, but I'm not sure.
  12. GSX-R 750L/M swingarm 520mm spindle to spindle (with the adjusters in the most forward position)
  13. Good. Now post some pics.
  14. maybe the spark is good but not at the right time? Welcome back by the way. We like pics, and not only of the Van Van.
  15. I have stock B12 headers on my B12 powered EFE. Had to cut out the bit of frame above the oil filter and weld it back in a bit lower. No problems with ground clearance. My previous oilcooled powered EFE had stock GSX-R1100M headers, with the same frame mod.
  16. same here, been using original Suzuki and Hiflo oil filters for the last 17 years on my own and on customers' bikes, never heard of one failing. But if it makes life much easier for you to use a Purolator filter then do it.
  17. are you sure the tacho is accurate? On my Slingy it shows 1000 too much for example.
  18. in OP's other thread he posts pics of a GS1000G Shaftie with CV carbs.
  19. yeah just fire it up. If it breaks, it would have needed opening up anyway so you have nothing to loose.
