Seen some with worn rings do it, but also seen good motors doing it when on a hot day in slow traffic and the engine is getting hot. If you're worried about it do a compression test with out oil down the bores and if reading is low with small amount of oil in the low bore and retest
I always run with a crank case breather,
1. I like the look of them. always had them pointing backwards but I will let you open that can of worms
2. If the engine is breathing heavily it helps get rid of all the extra pressure and then you may not blow a seal or gasket
Go to Torques and get the bits to make your own up will cost you about £30. I didn't know this and payed well over the odds for one off fleybay

As @MeanBean49 and @Gixer1460 says, and balance the carbs after you've had them apart.
Welcome to OSS by the way, also nice to introduce yourself in the general section before jumping in with questions, you get a nicer reply and don't forget we like pictures of Suzuki and project builds
And RTFR in general section

Dear I ask what's wrong with the one you have on there usually good ?
Are you wanting sharper brakes, or more feel?
-
Upgrade for better brakes or just for show?
Got a srad one on my kat (slingshot front with 4 pot Nissin)
I like the feel of that (and some of you will be thinking of sex )
But also got a radial gsxr1000 one on the gs1000 with gsxr1000 6 pots.
Both give a good feel on braking for me and the srad ones are cheeper.

I think I've ever got some lower plates for the 750 frame to oil cooled motor kicking about some where

Good point, the gsxr slingshot bandit and gsx1100f (as fair as I know) all have 34mm ones and the gsxf are spring not diaphragm.

At least I know what seal kit to order cheers all great info

Interesting: I did not know that the piston diameter varies among the slave cylinders for different models. Changing slaves could then help produce a clutch with a lighter pull/greater movement of the pushrod depending on the intended application
Just because my brain is not working witch one would give the greater movement etc?

I could be way off base here but one thing that is very different between the two frames are the engine mounts lower frame.
Has anybody got a 750? Can't remember what he goes by but pete750et son has could he take some sizes and I can compare to the 1100 frame or @imago have you a 1100 and 750? To compare?

As to your clock problem, why not get the top and bottom covers cut some plate to the same international size, get say gsxr Speedo/taco cut two round holes in the plate mount clock's and cover plate in say carbon fibre stick on sheet gsx600f gen1 clock's are the smallest clock's I've seen by the way

What? The 1100 engine has a completely different design basis to the 750 - they share being 4 cylinders with 4v/cylinder, nothing else is common bar some bolt on bits! Different electrics / loom and I think the forks are different but don't know for a fact!
750 have a smaller diameter fork to the 1100 but if you go to a 1100 katana and the 750 import s1-2 they have the same diameter as the Katana 1100 don't know about the 1000.
But we are going off topic

As above
A lot of times it's just for show, some say it helps performance? helps if your bores/rings getting worn/old and your getting blow pass, of course it won't stop that problem
-
That looks like the bigger one
Thanks mate.

Why not just use the outer covers of the standard clock's and fit what ever clocks you want in them looks standard but not

right on brother, i am exactly the same, none of this head down arse up for me
Yes, I've got that T shirt and it's well worn out

Do it, do it, do it
But I've never been a fan of the slabside or slingshot looks, my likes stop around mid 80 and start looking at them as donor bike for the older gs/gsx

If your just going to using the frame and bodywork ever 1100 or 750 will do the job, both frames are the same size BUT I did get told the 750 had thinner tubing? But this is hear say and I can't say one way or the other. The 750 dose have smaller forks but that won't affect you
Put a bandit 12 in my ET started with just a 1100 frame (all in projects ) and has been done many times so should be lots of info out there.
My Kat is the 750 jap import and I've put the 1100 oil cooled motor in that and all the 1100 Kat parts (panels etc) all go on with no problems, and when I was cutting the frame looks the same size tube as the gsx1100et frame.

Gsxr1100j clutch push rod
in Oil Cooled
Posted
Anybody know the length of the clutch push rod (the one from the slave and into the crank case) for a gsxr1100J 88
I know they are a different size to the gsxr 1127 and again to the bandit (all different part numbers)
Thanks.
