  1. Got a little bit done on mk2 today. Modified rgv250 subframe welded on And gsxr400 tank trimmed to fit.
  2. Look at the V shaped cooler fitted to late Gsxr1000, they'd fit the front of your belly pan.
  3. As I've said before. mount a head cooler bellow the existing oil cooler, like they did on the GSXr750rrk and just about every modern 1000cc sports bike.
  4. The reason I run a head cooler has nothing to do with oil life. It's all down to power. These engines use oil to cool the combustion chamber. cooler cylinder head the more compression and advance you can get away with. Even on my stock motor I see gains from the reduced heat soak around the inlets giving me a denser air fuel mix and more power.
  5. Agreed. Your first post didn't read like that to me. Maybe it was just me.
  6. 675 wheels are the lightest production wheel out there. Front looks simple with some disc spacers. Rear needs more work.
  7. A had the same problem, this what I learned last week.
  8. Do look at getting some engine case protectors though.
  9. Yes workshop is fine, you still have the address?
  10. Yes, I thought I'd put it my bag, along with the lead we cut to length.
  11. I have to confess Martin, the engine covers aren't yours. they're a used set that appeared on Eblag a couple of weeks ago with a buy iy now that I couldn't resist. I think they were listed for 32 minutes... The frame isn't a 750rr, but a 750k with a RGV 250 vj21 subframe wedged on. I'm glad it looks convincing.
  12. Awesome. How does she sound? Those batteries are witchcraft. That reminds me, I need to sort those leads for the Anderson plug.
  13. The engine with the FCRs is the 1216, with RU big valve head, that's going in my road bike project, a 7/11 RRk rep. You can all so see the corner of my mock up engine. You know what we were saying about having too many projects....
  14. This means I need a home for my newly built thunder bike spec motor. I have a plan though.
  15. I've been pondering what direction to go with the development of this bike. I've been looking at some of the classic classes, the endurance legends really appeals. The bike is basically legal for the superbike class except the 6 pot calipers and the crank cases.. Regs say you must use the earlier 1052 cases, not the 1127 cases i've got. Fortunately a sensibly priced complete 1052 motor appeared for an hour on Eblag last weekend. I picked it up the following day. A bit of wheeling and dealing with the folk on here and elsewhere, and I have the parts to build this into a 1166cc a nicley ported head and reground cams and set of rs40 flatslides. This will be built up later in the year and go in the chassis next winter.
  16. I'm told King Carbon make the Harris version of the "Yoshi" fairing. It's a bit better proportioned to my eyes. It' quite a bit more expensive though.
  17. I'd order a gsxr cable and a early r6 throttle tube. All bolts together and gives you a quick action throttle. Throttle tube is under a tenner.
  18. How many teeth should they have? I've collection of Blamdit 1200, 1052, and 1127 bits here. Help.
  19. I love 180/60 size tyres. Best of both really. Run them on all my bikes. They're a very tight fit on oil boilers though.
  20. Using something lighter than Suzuki slingshot wheels, which weigh as much as Jupiter's moons, has at lease as much affect getting the bike lent over as going for the narrower rear wheel.
