    Dyno Day 2021

    BBQ at my house afterwards.
  3. There always has to be a compromise unfortunately. Have ordered one.
  4. Fantastic, so it's home again by the looks of it.
  5. Very practical and works. Looks trick as well
  6. Yes been thinking that might be the problem perhaps, thanks. Coil spring conversion on a b12 bottom end with a lock up clutch. Have now converted it back to a b12 clutch with a lock up clutch. Still the same more or less.
  7. Got a new SPS lithium Ion battery same as the one I have had on my other turbo bike for nearly 5 years now as the JMT one gave up. Also messed around with different clutch pushrod lengths to no avail to stop the clutch drag. Whatever I did it aither dragged or slipped. Took coil spring clutch conversion to bits, put it back together and was slightly better. Will be taking it to bits again tomorrow. On the plus side engine runs sweet on low revs round the yard.
  8. Slightly exaggerated but the bit I have marked in silver can be removed. Not a good idea to remove to much material at the hinge side as it can jam the door when closing.
  9. Hopefully will get a closer look see dyno day.
  10. So I tried a few things with the carbs to no avail + shit load of plugs and even a different cdi. Was starting to get really annoyed with it . Then I though why not try a set of carbs I know to be good and hey presto she started up and ran like a pussy cat, a big pussy cat that is. Rode it round the yard clutch is dragging badly but I am really pleased .
  11. Thanks, yes I did think that at the time . One step forward & 2 back. Just needs more time & effort. Am so looking forward to taking it for a proper spin
  12. Fitted the tank today then filled with petrol no leaks and return was working to the tank. Tried to fire her up an locked solid. After a bit of investigation number 4 sylinder was locked with fuel . After removing plugs to clear the problem I did get it to fire up for a short while with a lot of flames coming out of the exhaust but not for long. So next step is investigate the carbs.
  13. Grey scotch bright then wax afterwards works for me. Can easily be redone as well but paint is cool as well shipmate . 2 of my alloy tanks.
  14. Fuel pressure gauge arrived in the post today. So set about fitting it, drilled a couple of holes in the aluminium undertray to route the fuel supply to the carbs and the tank return. Fitted a couple of rubber grommets to stop the tray cutting through the pipes. Quite tricky routing all the pipes as well as the wires on this as its quite a small bike really.
  15. Keep the teapot for the track as it don't matter so much if it gets dropped. Ones Brian is shining you won't want to drop it shipmate.
  16. I bought a efe engine last year for £650, I also bought one about 6 years ago for £500 so they can be found with a bit of luck in my experience.
  17. No O rings on base gasket only the head gasket.
