Good show. I really enjoyed it. The 2 guys on the stand when I went past were busy chatting so I didn’t say hello. Some nice bikes on show though (y)

Shouldve plonked yourself down and tucked into the biscuits!

First off, big thanks to @davecarafor organising it all. Well done dude :tu

Great to put faces to name of the few I hadn't met before and always good to catch up with Paul, Clive, Tom and Simon. I had a fantastic weekend, never been to Stafford before, its definitely worth going. Some amazing bikes on show...especially on the OSS stand, buy hey...I might be slightly biased.

Brilliant that OSS got best local stand, I think it was voted for by other stands, so that speaks volumes about our stand. Only downer was I has to go up on stage to collect the award from John Kocinski, just stepped up on the stage and there was an almighty cheers from the OSS mob, my face almost matched the sleeves of my hoodie :$.

I sat for part of the people watching, the reaction to Simons twin turbo was funny. They'd spy one turbo, and think bit weird it stuck out there, walk around it, spy the other....then you could see the brain going...then the big grin would appear. Sums up OSS perfectly to me :D

Even though our bikes weren't judged in the show (I'll blame an admin error...ahem!), my bike got a Highly Commended Rossett. Gobsmacked to say the least.  I'll definitely go next year...if I'm asked. And definitely no KFC.

We'll have to find whatever French puiblication you interviewed for too!

Brilliant turnout for OSS and the show was busier than I’d seen in a few years. Thank you to everyone who brought a bike (or two) and supported the stand. See you at the next one!

Ah - so it's an oldskool drawthrough set-up.

Carb blowthru's only need to be 1 or 2 psi over the boost pressure. The couple I've worked on have only been set at 1-2 psi on those malpassi regulators

I know thats B12 but the procedure is the same. Dont be tempted to use a pry bar to split cases. Once ALL the fixings are out they'll split easy enough. Just be mega careful not to drop the crank shells or get any grit/shite on them. You want to be operating theater clean, dont be tempted to wipe the shells either, leave them be.

As CC said, easier to remove the clutch assy and the front sprocket while the engines in situ but a dugga dugga should still get them off. make sure youve got JIS screwdrivers to get the screws on the bearing retaining plates out inside the clutch housing, Impact would be better.

Dont lose the little twagger that the oil pump drive gear sits on either if you go that far.

Take loads of photos as youre doing it so you dont get the selector forks the wrong way around when it goes back together.

Brake cleaner aerosols are your friend

So is blue roll not kitchen towel as it leaves lint everywhere

    take your time

Pick the phone up if you get stuck (y)

Honestly, I REALLY do not get this attitude that has been repeatedly displayed on this forum, from members and moderators alike.

Unless someone is an absolutely dedicated oil-cooled nut looking purely to discuss anything and everything oil-cooled, the VAST majority of people coming here will be looking to get an answer to question, or information about a procedure / modification.

So what the HELL is with everyone trying to act like an arrogant SOB, Gatekeeping the community and berating others for getting straight to the point?

Who the HELL do people think they are, trying to be a sarcastic MOFO when someone has come here to ask for our HELP?

This is the single most UGLY thing about the behavior of this Forum's members and it REALLY needs to stop.

*Edit*  Please note this is not specifically or only directed at you personally, it's an attitude I have seen across many different users of this forum :)

    RTFR.

This is an information sharing site that everyone is expected to contribute to not 'jump in, take information and leave'. Feel free to leave if you dont like it.

    Anyway off topic.

@Scuzz300Swingarm will go in but you'll need custom top hats and you'll have to do some leg work on the linkage but it has been done. Theres a few slabbies in the projects section with different arms fitted. Good luck

Can you drop the bikes off on Friday night?

Paul and I will be there mid afternoon Friday setting up, you can get onto the site until about 10pm I think but they close the hall at 7 Friday night so if you arrive after that just keep the bike with us until the morning
