Anyone know if I can put gsxr cams in an inazuma 750 lump? Tia.
yes you can as long as the GSXR cams arent out of a shim head engine

No - it wouldn't work as the 1400 ECU needs the 1400 rotor which if memory serves me right, is on the starter clutch / alternator rotor like Busa's etc? To use a GSXR oil cooled ignition it has to be complete system - CDI, rotor and pick-ups and conversely EFI conversion needs the whole install so the ECU understands the signals its getting or not getting! EFI conversions are better served with aftermarket ECU's for flexibility in component selection.
Not strictly true as you can go fuel only with the stock CDI or conversely Ignition only if you want to be able to program your advance curve

So that would mean you could do a basic EFI conversion on a GSXR or GSF using the 1400 ECU etc
You would need to find somewhere for a cam sensor and another way to trim the fuelling back a hell of a lot. Cheaper and easier going aftermarket ECU as per Arttu's thread. 1250 bandit stuff however....

BUT, the phone rang and when i came back i put the bike away without turning the Pingel off!
couple of hours later Mrs fatbloke says " whats that smell" instantly I knew. ran out to gargae and about 20 quids worth of super duper unleaded is on the gargae floor..
Bollox, so carbs off and clean them out again to seal the float valves and empty the engine of gas.. Bloody motor bikes
Thats only about a teaspoon full these days!

Seems to have coped ok - having a big battery helps balance the loads, it was a DMS 700 equal to a Varley Red Top 25, 20A/h, 230 CCA.
I might just try and fit my dual pass cooler there then, struggling for space due to my turbo being high up for gravity draining

Well it isn't a race bike, it was built for the road and it is the only cooling. Mind you it does have a billet bespoke big block with extensive finnage so that helps!
I take it the alternator is alright with the extra current draw of the fan along with the other EFI gubbins?

Looks like we're pulling out of this one folks.
Struggling to get enough people to commit to coming.
Crying shame but thoughly understandable given the circumstances over the past 18 months and the uncertainty surrounding it.
We may have a second bite of the cherry in April for a second Manchester Show at Bowlers, I'll keep everyone informed as and when.

In fact mines not gonna get used for a few months yet, you're welcome to borrow it to try out?

Its worth speaking to @Funkymonkracingabout one of his billet knockles/linkage. That'll raise the arse end up without affecting the workings and ratios of the shock too much. A very worthwhile addition. He made a facetube video very recently that has been posted on here

Are we still on for this as it's only 3 weeks away?
As it stands I still haven’t had a 100% confirmation from the organisers, hopefully I’ll have the full concise details Monday/Tuesday.
But, we are still booked in! -

I'd get that stripped completely and that broken part rebuilt up with weld and then drilled/retapped. As mentioned it looks like its been very unloved so i'd be opening it up to make sure the gearbox is ok and the bearings are in good order

Pretty sure someone posted these on Kevin Carpenters FB page

nice one! Are you keeping the 18" wheels on it?
-
Names down here please!
The show has moved back to its former home at Event City, so you'll need a Hotel rather than camping/staying in a van but i'll get this confirmed

I was told by a welder local to me that he couldnt weld a crack in my spare cover because it was mag alloy, so I'd be inclined to say yes!

Anyone know if the 1100 and the sevenfiddy are interchangable?
Or wether the GSXR400 one fits?
