Have a nose at my Slingshot thread, a lot of work went into the knuckle and top shock mount on that to make it work right. Granted, mines for a K8 but the principles will be broadly similar

See if you can find some of that Moonshine @Blubber brought over, that'll keep you toasty in the back of a van if you drink enough of it!

Van for the majority I think mate

I'll echo what @Blubbersaid, great weekend apart from a minor hiccup with @gsxEFE but everyone safe and bike repaired! @clivegtoYou're a legend
@GeorgeEI7KOdispatched to the train station and back to work now

85 750 pickup will work, just the right side one doesnt plug into anything. Use the 1127 rotor/trigger wheel. I'd err towards a coil if 2/3 is the issue though

Was that on busa rods too or just a low CR 1216 engine with headwork?

Hello, does anyone know if the slingshot ignition barrel will fit in to the later model gsxr 600/750 K5,6,7,8,9,yoke?
cheers
Yes it does. You might need to get a new key cut though onto one of the newer long keys. Ive done this exact thing on my slingshit with K7 yokes.
edit: I didnt want to chop up the slingy ign barrel so I got the plastic top off a K barrel and fitted than onto the slingy one so it all fitted properly. Thats why I needed the longer key. This also means the top of the ign barrel looks a lot neater than a tatty old slingy one

I knew I should grabbed that powerscreen lump off @Ben Slabby

That’s too much work. I’ll find a used 1216 kit or pistons at least then. I’ve got a gsxr dot head and those RS38’s to use. Should be able to build something lively!

Anyone know the CR off the top of their head? Thinking of a cheap way to an N/A 1216 using bits I’ve already got

11 x 3m stand in the main hall confirmed this morning. The slim one and I reckon that to be about 10/11 bikes?
Names please!
@davecara @Paulm @Wee Man@Bow @SiBag @imago @clairetoo @clivegto @Svsam @jb
Add your names please, if we get a definitive list together 5 weeks before show date then we get published in the program and the bikes can be judged along with the stand. I wouldn't usually be arsed but seeing as we won best stand last year it'd be nice to get some more silverware for some of us!

Count me in. Thoroughly enjoyed it last year...if you miscounted the KFC incident
None of that hotel nonsense this year either!

So long as its got the right badge on the tank it doesn't matter

Application is in, risk assessments done, lets see how big a stand they give the 2022 best stand winners.....

I fitted the whole package on an '89 arm.
All slingshot an W swingarms are the same at pivot and spindle area.
I did on a WC but do not have the spacer dimensions anymore, but here are a few tips :
- You need to machine the sprocket carrier down, basically down to the bearing, removing the shoulder where the seal goes.
- the sprocket studs need removing and replaced by low head screws, because the studs will fowl the chain tensioner bracket
- spacer on the sprocket side, between the arm and sprocket carrier is around 9mm IIRC
This is the arm i built with provision to use the K7 caliper carrier :
I do have all the spacer details for this setup if you wanted to go down that route and update the rear caliper
Yes please mate, I want to run K8 set up in a slabby with a metmachex slingshot arm

My suggestion would be to sell the K1 bodies, theyre too big for your little 600.
Double check the bore sizes but 650 Blandit throttle bodies and 2 sets of ali epxress 650 rubbers will see you right with minimal work. Do some searching and have a look at my Slingshot thread

ok, cheers, sounds like grief, ill put up with 2 keys i think
Its piss easy honestly. Just take your time disasemlbling it and do it somewhere where you can find the springs if they do fuck off on you. Last one I did took me 20 minutes start to finish

I've got aliexpress rubbers on my throttle bodies and they work great.
Wintergreen oil is supposed to be the stuff to make old carb rubbers supple again

Yes you can, your cdi itself will be wired much the same as it is now but drawing its power from the M Unit rather than the fusebox

600 doesn’t have a fuel gauge too
