  1. Do they still give the same advice concerning registration and frame numbers?? Couple years ago i was working with a bloke wanting to build one of there wormburnt chopper thingy, he rang and asked about SVA and making it legal and the advice was " Dont bother with all that, just copy the frame number from another bike and no one will know" Yes I know a lot of people do that , bits its totally illegal and they really shouldn't be telling potential customers that
  2. It will probably be the bolts come undone, they do it if not locktighted, torqued up or been removed recently... whip the cover off and have a look, if your lucky you can remove it clean the taper up and bash it back on,
  3. 30K mile 1127 powerscreen engine that had never been apart all original gaskets on the cases, pristine oil pump strainer Same strainer out of a 1216 big bore drag race motor that came from a so called "Tuner" a few years ago I wouldn't let him tune my piano,
  4. new gaskets are really cheap, i only ever use 3 bond ( yamabond) on crankcase halves no where else.
  5. If you let it tick over dose it sound like a cough then tick over ok again??? But the first thing id do is get some standard bandit or gsxr coils ant try them as when dynas are old they can break down when hot and misfire..
  6. Dunno matey I hate messing with carbs, spent tooo many hours changing jets and settings in the past, if its not something simple I go straight to a dyno and have them set up nowadays...soo much easier and its right first time
  7. In Australia not a clue, there are some members over there, put a question in the general section and see if any of them know of good cheap supplies over there
  8. if it was me id tape the hole up and try that.. ive had a couple of 1200's mainly mark 1 with the different carbs than yours, but with just a race can and k and n filter I have found that 10% increase in main jet size usually works well or your emulsion tubes are oval
  9. Do you mean how much dose the rod move out ward when the lever is pulled in
  10. There are loads of fake NGK plugs on that auction site, that why they are so cheap, I have always used real JR9B's in mine and ive had it 19 years and its never missed a beat, also had 12 other 1200 bandits and they have all had standard plugs
  11. The bit thats been cut off weighs 1.5kgs and the rest 22.9 kgs so 24 and a bit Kilos..or 52.9 in English pounds
  12. I juts so happen to have one on the garage floor after stripping number 13 to start again ill weigh it tomorrow after work shipmate
  13. No, gsxrj/k are much more agressive, less midrange but much more top end fun
  14. which gsxr?? the later single pick up 1100 ones are interchangeable, get a picture showing the plug and pick up and ill have a look in my box of bits
  15. Both dynod at over 130 rwhp, good cheap bolt on power for a b12 motor
  16. Its not a question of handling badly, the 5.5 inch rim has a maximum designed tyre size of 18o the 6 inch rim is for the 190/200 section rears, so the side walls will be bent in more than they should be and the whole tyre will be out of shape and subjected to more stress than it should, but then its up to you, I wouldnt
  17. Ive done 2 DOT heads onto b12 engines and used all the B12 stuff, plugs valve clearances and all, both worked a treat.
  18. Already booked for the trackday There was rumour of another moped parade as well.
  19. the slingy swinger in my project is 225 and a bandit one is 200mm
