  1. 600/750 srad, tl1000 s and r and hayabusa wheels and discs wlll all fit
  2. Beat me to it, was thinking about it ealier, everything will drop in as long ax the fork centres are the same
  3. Yes but if you use the 25mm spindle you cant use the speedo drive , I tried to bore one out to 25mm once and there was nothing left and it fell to bits, also is there enough room in the hub for the tube, as the bandit one is only 27mm OD and there's not a lot of space in there...??
  4. Ive done this several times, there is no 25x47x14 standard bearing readily available bearing. So ive made a couple of sleeves for the bandit wheel spindle, one threaded to fit in the sppedo side and one plain split one for the right hand side, I had concerns about the discs but when fitted there is only 3 mm of the discs swept area not covered by the pads and they worked just fine. I used slingshot yokes and the calliper spacing was spot on with slingy discs and needed 2mm spacers with b12 discs, what are the fork cetres when using the Hondag yokes, the srad are 214mm if I remember right??, I got over the length issue by making a stepped yoke by welding 2 together to gain 25mm..
  5. That's so clean you could eat a pasty off of it Do I need to bring some to Donnington for you and Mrs Yoshi.???
  6. was that in welsh wales, carephilly, or somthing??
  7. Don't worry Cooky there not picking on you, I've been on here years and still get abuse for owning a Bandit Must be time for a gratuitous bandit picture
  8. Don't know the technical details, but I've stuck dot 750 head and cams on b1200's twice and both times I've got over 130 rwhp once Dyno'd and they both went like fek, used to be a really cheap way to get HP. last time I bought a complete engine with shagged gearbox for £50
  9. Anyone got a 750 J/K fork leg lying around who could stick a tape measure down it and measure the spindle centre to top of fork nut please, Cheers Chaps Happy new year shipmates
  10. Depends how cheap you are, I made this one years ago to stop the mudguard hitting the oil cooler with 750 slingy forks, chopped off the ends of one youke and had them welded to another gained 25mm, total cost was £13 plus a cake for the welder. I now have shorter Hayabusa forks so I had this made, it gains 50mm and is excellent, JJ machine works made it Lots of clearance clarence
  11. Ive always used one Barnett heavy duty spring and one suzuki one on various bandits, 8 years and a 1216 big bore on my shiny one and its never slipped, make sure you get the H/D ones , MT73 not the Barnett standard replacement ones MT71.
  12. If the Bandit engine is not too tuned the standard OEM clutch with one H/D spring will be fine, mine was renewed with new Suzuki fibers in 2008, its a 1216 with 150 ish rwhp and has been used mainly on track days, sprinting and National hill climb association events, its been fine and never slipped once, I might renew the fibres this winter if I get round to having a look inside.. I did price up all the bits for a gsxr conversion then thought, why bother with the extra expense when the standard bit works fine???
  13. NGK's in oily engines are notorious, get them soaked in petrol and they just give up glad its sorted shipmate
  14. Why not just plug a bandit switch into the bandit loom and try it, would take 10 seconds..then you would know that the ignition circuit is correct??
  15. there is an anti theft resistor in the base of the bandit ignition barell, it wont go without it, I have one here you can borrow to try if you are stuck,
  16. The 400 ones fit but are 30 mm shorter and have no pre load or damping adjustment the same as the 600 ones,
  17. 1200 bandit Peak power at 8500 red line at 9500 750L slingy Peak power at 11000 re line at 12500 you don't want to use the wrong cdi!!!!! and the TPS on a b12 don't make a farts worth of difference, I was running mine on a dyno and unplugged it many years ago, nothing at all changed..
  18. Theres a lot of excellent info here but not much about Bandits, as they arent generally considered oldskool enough, those of us who like and modify thier bandits are tolerated. that said ive done frknt end swops to many bandits and have done a " how to guide" on a bandit specific forum, ill pm you the link and point yoy in the right direction.. the first question is, how much do you want to spend...? As you are in U S of Trump spares are really cheap compared to over here.... Do you want really modern up side down forks or retain the normal look of the standard forks??
  19. 1200 mark 1 bandit CDI number is 32900-27E20 well the two I have here are, But gsxr750 L is 32900-17D00 according to the parts fiche?? So they aint the same, they might fit but the rev limit is different an i wold imagine the ignition curve is not the same L and M have the same part number..
  20. My 1216 has -8 on cooler and-6 on head cooler, its been ok so far
  21. it dosent really matter, ive used both at various times, an 8 is easier to route around ghe down pipes...
