found the filters. jesus. well they do look high quality i reckon.
which dynojet kit? for a 750m? and which stage.
Also which filters. My ramair duals are deteriorating where my knees rub them because they dont fit good. Wouldn't mind trying something different.
I have a slingshot 750 front wheel already. But what's this you're saying katana 750 wheel fits straight in? as in same axle and bearing size. Speedo drive and all that...
nah nevermind thats only 3 inches across not 3.5
ok that guy isn't calling me back. so It's 89-90 for 1100's correct? round headlight slingshot cams basically is what to look for yes? and is the 1100 head also an upgrade?
It will run fine without the port matching. But you will see what I mean when you put the boots on the motor and see how they match up.
I know cylinder #1 is waaay off on mine still. need to do some grinding.
But be super careful to seal off that port good and generous with the grease and get all them shavings outta there. Only attempt the porting yourself if you are confident about that part. Metal shavings bad for motor. That is my disclaimer.
The bandit has a tendency to run wide a bit. It's not the sharpest thing. And once the front tire starts to get a flat strip in the middle. Thats probably the "drop in" tendency you mention. Kinda like it doesn't want to turn at first then it drops over a point. Somewhat suddenly and unnervingly...
And I've heard somebody say take the bandit intake cam and put it in the exhaust? Then just run the gsxr intake cam. Is this true. Or is that just good enough if you dont have the exhaust cam. And should I just use the set of 88 cams?
in the 88 head...
If you're using the 750 boots to the engine you may want to do some grinding on the ports so they match up better.
Stuff ports with paper towel. Leave some sticking out so you can grab it. Then also seal the stuffed ports with grease as well. This will catch the shavings. And you can just pull it all out when you're done.
And now you're ready to do some mild port matching. Use the twisty tool with a grindy thing on the end of it.
So I picked up this slabby 750 the other day. It has the 1988 gsxr 1100 rear wheel.
18x4.5 the widest slabby rear. Looks like a newer 17 with the 3 spokes but its not it's an 18...

Could I swap just the front wheel to a 17 so the spokes match. Would that be terrible for the handling?
I recently landed a new job for now and I havent really had time/energy for it as of yet. Saving up money for somebody to "help" me with this or sell it and move on.
Ive been wondering how much I would have into shipping (from US) one of my bikes directly to dave dunlop and having him work the whole thing over...
I would stick with an 1100 bottom end and 5 speed rather than try to make this hybrid. If you want to go faster. add a tooth up front. It will pull just fine. Err. imean. yea thats already been done here. What I meant to say was. dont abuse the tranny.
theres a sentence or two about fitting the w750 carbs on this page.

After getting the right boots and getting them fitted you will probably want to do some port matching.
I thought it sounded more like a head noise off hand. What I'll probably end up doing is swapping a bandit motor in there while I build this one for my bandit.
