  1. Thats funny. I about got my head chewed off for mentioning teapots last week. Pretty sure I remember being scolded to RTFR. And the thread being closed immediately.
  2. I'll put red gorilla tape over the bastards and be proud.
  3. It was my understanding that these old suzuki's require a special touch. And only a select few know the true way to maximize oil cooled output.
  4. I wish I knew who to go to for master level dot head porting in eastern US. Or maybe I could take it off and send it to... somewhere.
  5. Hey I had a thought about this... What if instead of having special diaphragm caps machined. What if I was to just grind mine down and if I grind a hole in them just epoxy that shit closed when I'm done. Is that good enough or do they need to be "just so" on the inside?
  6. yea but the bandit airbox is designed (presumably) for even length stacks...
  7. ditto on the bandit stacks.. The gsxr 750 stacks were designed "just so" based on the shape of the airbox. Having them staggered like that with open filters doesn't seem right. I would either run bandit stacks or cut those 750 stacks into individuals and order another set for the 750. Then you could experiment with ALL shorter or longer stacks.
  8. Captain chaos you got the same wheel in there. What problem were you having with the tire? According to rene's post the only issues are getting the chain and brake alignment right..
  9. We've covered the front end. Thank you captain chaos. Also I should probably just keep an eye out for 93-98 1100 front end. But what is the most diy friendly way to get at least a 180 out back. Is there a popular swingarm that goes on with the least fuss that people like to use?
  10. ok so nextly what would be the first go-to swingarm to work with. I have an 88 750 wheel but I would rather see amy 91 wheel on there. 91 750m swingarm?
  11. Just out of curiosity. If I had an EFE and wanted to see it with modern wheels and 180 rear. Whats the best way with having to modify as little as possible. Certainly not the frame itself.

lol. The danmoto xg1. I had one on my bandit for a month or 2. Now I get tinnitus just from looking at one. That is sweet though.
  14. Anybody have those they wanna share?
  15. Sorry we may have covered this in another thread but what did you have to do to get the carbs to fit the frame/tank?
  16. My most recent brainstorm is to try to consolidate my collection over the next few months and start with a low mileage bandit for a stock piston, ported dot head, bst38ss sleeper build. I have these carbs dialed in after much poffering about and getting wrong in every way first. on my well hammered 40k mile bandit. And it pulls very nicely. I cant wait to up the ante just a bit and match up the porting to the bigger intake boots and using dot head and j/k cams on beautiful reliable factory suzuki cylinder bores and pistons (barring 2001 models). Old suzuki's really are the best.
  17. oh not to worry. I havent ordered any. I have a set of bandit 1200 yosh headers awaiting mountment.
  18. I believe they offer both better flow and lighter weight. The midpipe fits OVER the joint where it meets with the collector. Like god intended. Not INTO the collector causing this huge backwards turbulence causing lip like the stock bandit setup.
  19. yes. They can be heated and spread apart to fit oil cooled motors.
  20. Your muffler bearing might be shot.
  21. b12 with 89 gsxr cams. 2 brothers midpipe and muff, and 38mm 750L/M/N carbs. factory pro crb-s21 kit (made for exactly this application) ram air filters stretched over bandit airbox "stacks". I have yet to try the staggered length 750 ones. or perhaps order another set to experiment with shorter or longer... 37.5 pilots (out of my old bandit carbs) 150 mains clip in the second position from top with one shim (almost middle slot, backed off just a bit for fuel mileage basically) one slide hole filled on each slide. pulls like a freight train. Sounds just a hair on the lean side up top. I'm thinking the final touch is exactly this setting but with 155 main. Literally just to make my ears happy.
