  1. Do you mean the quietness. like it sounds too quiet. muffled I dont want it to be sidewinder loud but yea I was expecting a little more BOOM than that.
  2. yea the video still wont work only can see the images to the left and right of it
  3. also header gasket thingies I pretty sure it needs. So a little ticky.
  4. you mean like the slight stumble. It's dead cold. and its not a constant miss. I figure maybe plugs or something. If its the rattle theres a rattle coming from muffler area.
  5. I grew up on clutch dirt bikes and quads ever since about 7 or 8. Several years of serious fat kid motocross. on 250 2 strokes winning the C class at 14. Practicing every tuesday and thursday. Back in the 90s when people had sweet backyard tracks everywhere. And then on to street bikes in my 20s and now im 33. My clutch hand is good.
  6. What about just a slabby rear wheel? the spokes already match the front. It's wider. That could be a nice "get me by for now" upgrade. I wonder if anybody makes tires in both of those sizes. (18x4 and 16x whatever)
  7. What is the clutch supposed to be a hard pull? I honestly hadn't noticed.
  8. Would this kill my powerband in any horrible way? Also I've seen people put bandit carbs on this bike. That a good idea? how about bst38ss carbs? Give the blue dragon a little moar juice. I know I know if the ports arent matched then bigger carbs only do so much...
  9. so it may just be factory quirkyness. That is awesome. Also this thing has self cancelling signals! that is awesome.
  10. "modesty" you say. like is it removable?
  11. Ok so one not so good thing. If you look at it from the rear. the whole subframe looks shifted to the right a few mms when comparing the taillight with the center of the tire. So she had some kind of tip over I guess. Or something is off about that... only noticeable if you look for symmetry though. not immediately noticeable. I'm still so enamoured with this bike I'm gonna chalk it off as par for the course. So it had a minor tip over and its a 600 pound bike with a giant extended subframe. It got tweaked just a tad. Or maybe 1985 framebuilding wasn't all that precise?...
  12. But the whole rest of it is so much bigger. That dont seem right with that small thingy at the end. Also quiet. Like stock quiet. Not like a yoshi exhaust ive heard on most other bikes.
  13. Speaking of which I think this muffler is wrong somehow. It seems awfully small at the exit for how the rest of it is. Also quiet. And perhaps choked a tad. It runs smoothly on all 4 but I'm not sure it's pulling like it really should.
  14. the handlebars are safely a half inch or so from the tank at full lock either direction. About the lock stops though. Are they supposed to just bang against that weld on the frame or is something missing there.
  15. I'm getting used to it. Just slip my foot in at the right place and it's good. Had a female on the back yesterday. This bike is an absolute DREAM for pillion duty. The way it holds a line. It almost felt too light after she got off and I was back to riding home solo. She said it was by far the most comfortable "foreign" bike she's ever ridden. I was assuming the rear suspension needs rebuilt just because "old" but it handled the job quite nicely. Much better than a stock bandit. did not miss one shift. not one.
  16. It is just as perfect in person. So mint. And the engine. Idles beautifully. Engine noise is remarkably quiet for any bike I've owned.
  17. Is the kickstand supposed to be all in the way of the shifter like that? When I go to upshift half the time I try to upshift the kickstand. I'll get used to it but just wondering.
  18. https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/6156389553.html heres the ad while its still up. she's mine now.
  19. Hey about that banana swingarm. This bike is awesome btw. How much trouble involved fitting that. Any chance for a little summary of what was involved? Or maybe I could even buy some of the stuff off of you. The swingarm and whatever else you dont need anymore.
  20. ok ok. Indeed bandits are only worthy of mention if something interesting is actually done to them. Or if someone needs help with one sure why not... But not "look at my dominator dual round headlights I just mounted."
  21. So we can talk about them as long as we call them teapots? And only call a KATANA a katana. While the only actual unmentionable oil cooled bike that is completely off the discussion table is the bandit 6. Ok I guess I'm catching on.
  22. So that was just for me but not this guy. Thats adorable.
