  1. you insult mine I'll insult yours. better. anyway moving forward... they do look a bit tacky I suppose. And the fella selling the bike doesn't talk right... I'm not going into his hood.
  2. Fuck off limey british cunt. I hope your woman gets abducted and converted.
  3. I suppose they are a bit on the gaudy side. Thought they might look good on a 1st gen bandit 1200s with half fairing. Un blandify it a little bit without doing silly things like chopping the subframe. I suppose just those and the exhaust would be a silly reason to buy a whole bike when I've got a similar condition slingshot project already.
  4. what am I supposed to do with this ^ . They arent chopper wheels... helpful input or fuckoff please...
  5. What are they called and is there a solid version to be avoided. Does anybody know. That is all. I suppose it would help if I actually put something about wheels in the thread title. I shoot myself in the foot sometimes.
  6. it's ok. No question of retrofitting. They would be for another slingshot or a bandit. But you're saying those were never made for slingshots even?
  7. right. I am scatterbrained... https://annarbor.craigslist.org/mcy/d/gsxr/6400070025.html
  8. Before I screw myself with more virtually unusable parts. Does anybody know what series those wheels are. And is there a retarded solid version I need to watch out for as well?
  9. pretty sure the v&h is comparable price from Eblag or straight from v&h... Thats about what they run. And then there's the MAC brand knockoff sidewinders for a bit less.
  10. I apologize for poking at your build earlier. And other mean things I said. Bygons and all that. Thank any of you for coming back with constructive info. I am curious though why didn't you move the whole swingarm left? Something in the way? Suppose you'd have to move the shock mount as well. Or perhaps too much machining involved on that left side and too many clearance issues? Anyhoo mines almost finished soon to be chained and sprocketed and done. I will see how fucked up it all is after it's all said and done (before the chain part...). I decided to just go with the efe caliper and bracket with half the pads being used for the moment. With future plans for my ingenius custom gsxr efe hybrid brake disc. Which I thought up all by my selfy self. If you want the efe caliper perfectly centered on the gsxr disk (using the gsxr wheel spacer) you will want to machine 2mm into the caliper mounting points (and cut the bolts down 2mm). Or instead you could just use the efe wheel spacer but then you would reduce the caliper braket to (approximately) just 12mm. Which would require slightly more structural metal taken off the bracket as it tapers outward.
  11. hand method aint that bad. Trick is be really really fast.
  12. That is all excellent food for thought. Good porting and combustion chamber shape is important not only to feed big motor but also for to keep it cool and stuff. Keeping the intake sufficiently cool all the way in until ignition. But nah I'm just gonna bolt up a bandit oil cooler and gs750 pump gears. That'll probably be enough.
  13. Members 551 1,182 posts Report post Posted September 24 The oiler engines are better bases for turbo abuse! A GSX will need a decent welded crank or it will twist with the high torque available at lower rpm's. Also the oil system - weak for NA is suspect for turbo use without work. Not many forged pistons as OEM fitment - Busa in a GSX will work and give a super torquey 1428 monster LOL! Deffo use forged pistons - cheaper in long run! Programmable ignition is a bonus as retard on boost stops things going bang or melting! Busa pistons make 1360 not 1428. The confusion is your fault to begin with... So then... All due respect WE ALL GET THINGS WRONG FROM TIME TO TIME. hypocrite... all you other pot kettle hypocrite dickheads.
  14. Now you are wanting to swop a shell bearing rod on to a roller bearing crank ! ! ! Yea cuz I'm supposed to just know all that shit already... Not allowed to ask questions or what. Jesus christ I was just wondering why 2nd gen busa pistons were even brought into this conversation at all... Getting my facts straight... Learning. Because I dont know everything. Not every question I ask is to be taken as an actual intent to carry out a procedure. Sometimes they're just questions... now I know dual shock gsx have 18mm pin while EFE has 20mm pin. And also I just now learned that a second gen busa has different rod bearings...
  15. No... I'm not wanting to do any of those things... Just asking questions... Calm your tits big fella. After figuring out that 1428 is not possible with stock block the conversation took a slight turn towards the 1360 subject with hayabusa pistons. I didn't think it needed a whole new thread... Some people have been able to stay on board with the conversation just fine.
  16. well that would mean you're using gen 2 busa rods as well would it not? efe has same small end as 1st gen busa yes?
  17. After seeing how much torque these make even at 150hp I am facing difficult decisions (this big build or turbo oil cooled). And I see now why people like to ask me if I want to sell this motor.
  18. we're talking busa pistons now. Nevermind 1428. 1360.
  19. Just one more question on this subject. It would actually be better to use 1127 sleeves would it not? to fit them in the efe block easier? or even slabby sleeves? Or are the thicker bandit sleeves better on account of all the extra stroke or some other reason.
  20. The wheel swap thing... I had an idea to retain use of the stock ef caliper and bracket. And still have that nice giant 275mm rotor out back. The idea was I would have the gsxr rear disc machined to be the new center for the efe floating track. Adopting the bolt pattern and eliminating the unnecessary offset in one slick move. But I would need to be able to find replaceable bobbins. Which are a special big size for our old suzukis. I already popped one out to have a look. 16mm . If I cant find replaceable 16mmtype bobbins the idea could still work I would just need to find a different 275ish mm disc with the replaceable kind. And then have a gsxr disc machined to be the carrier for that... provided vent holes dont get in the way... No matter as Ive got the teapot bracket on the way so I'm just gonna get through this the regular way and go riding asap. But it could still be a fun project on the side. Ive got plenty of gsxr/bandit rear discs around.
  21. Does anybody know where to get replaceable snap ring bobbins in the larger 16 mm type for our old gs bikes?
  22. so you got a shafty that was missing a front and you're putting slabby front on it?
