  1. on my 750L the relay is lying near the fuse box under the riders seat.
  2. just realised the K also has a curved oil cooler. The 10th digit of the VIN tells which model it is.
  3. make up your mind, K is 1989. Anyway it looks like an L, curved oil cooler is a giveaway. In Murica the L still had RWU forks.
  4. worst paintjob ever from Suzuki. Nice bike though.
  5. SRAD600 is just about tolerated on OSS. But only just. Now of course you understand that you will have to buy that 1150.
  6. the only way to find them is to order some original ones from Suzuki costing a zillion monies. The next day you will find your baggie.
  7. do the mod as described in the link I posted. Costs almost nothing. If the wiring has resistance (very likely for a 25 year old bike) a new generator is not going to help.
  8. oh yes a good charging system should give 13,5 - 14,5V.
  9. Hi and welcome to OSS. More than just a forum, check this out for example: http://oldskoolsuzuki.info/archives/400
  10. that's why I suggested "ride the 1100", and sell it in spring. If you will still want to sell it at all.
  11. 1) swap the bikes 2) ride the 1100 3) sell the 1100 for good money, buy a ratty donor bike 4) profit or even better.... 1) swap the bikes 2) ride the 1100, fall in love with it 3) sell the huc outlaw thing 4) more profit
  12. I suppose you'll keep the front forks as well? If yes then keep the TLR.
  13. if you've only loosened banjo bolts near the handlebars and nothing near the calipers, you will have no need to bleed them since air goes up in brake fluid. So all the air is near the top. DON'T pump the brakes after assembly because you will force the air down. As Markfoggy says just push the pistons back in the calipers and the air bubbles will appear in the master cilinder reservoir.
  14. they are for the EFE frame. Somehow the smaller ones should also open but they don't.
  15. that's why it is good that OSS is not sponsored.
  16. They are never a bad thing. And as Spanner said, on tuned engines they are a must.
  17. Hi and welcome. Check this out.
  18. yes but swingarm lengths are always with the wheel spindle in the most forward position. But you'd better measure to be sure since Suzuki press info is not always accurate. Like the 1100K production model being significantly different from the pre-production models which the press got in 1988.
  19. Yes. They're not. At least the B12 one is different, not sure about the Powerscreen and EFE ones.
  20. it's easy to blame autocorrect for everything nowadays. Must remember it when talking to the wife.
