when i bought a second hand GSXR1100L 20 years ago, i rode it home from the shop and ripped the fairing off and binned it. then did this to it

plenty of people, I bet theirs more standard GS1000's on the roads than tuned ones.
-
from their website Sorry no new orders will be taken until the New Year due to restructuring
-
looks like, the L model went with USD forks.
-
it is a strange one the only thing i can think of is like whats been said, maybe a backfire and the needles have bounced up against the springs and dropped back into the wrong holes ??????? then when the slide drops down they have got bent.
-
what holds the needles in place on them carbs ?
-
to ease the heavy clutch on my ET i fitted a new cable and fitted a bearing at the clutch lever pivot, does help a bit

they look very expensive

no !!! never turn the crank till the tensioner is fitted and the cam timing is checked.
-
you don't want to turn an engine over with no tensioner fitted
-
check the valve clearance first, then check cam timing.
-
I can't find it either ????
-
im pretty sure all the early 850's have the clutch lever on the top of the clutch cover !!! where the 750's don't. not saying it won't fit though ????
-
yeah they do look like carbs used on a B6.
-
yeah if its for road use I'd go for 34mm.
-
if its just leaking out of one carb then i would guess a float needle, if your tap is on the left of your bike then its number one carb, (from left to right)
-
yeah i think you did Garry
-
they did Toni, had to do a couple years ago, fucking horrible job. never again.
