theirs a new theory going round about not honing, the goal is to have a smooth bore which helps a good seal at the rings, so why ruff the surface up again ??? does make some sence !!!! just putting it out their
if im not in a rush i'll leave em over night (with a drip tray under them) but if the float valves are leaking it doesn't take long before you can tell.
if your torque arm bolts to the frame then the brake hanger swings back and forth with suspension movement. so it has a spacer/bush where the spindle goes through so the hanger can pivot. but if the torque arm bolts to the swinger then a solid one is used.
the best thing to do after having a heart attack is get in the shed and build a bike, its what i did after mine bike looks good, and good luck with getting your licence back
disconnect the brake light switches one at a time and see if the light goes out, if it does on one switch then it could be faulty, or in the rear one just needs adjusting.
I tried a set of bandit headders on my 1980 GSX750 and they wouldn't fit, the problem was the sump but they did fit the exhaust ports. not sure about the next gen GSX engine though ?
looks like that engine has had a hard life ??? if it was mine I'd be giving it a full strip down and having a good look inside and see how everything is before spending any cash and time on it.
