    Nice. Welcome to OSS.
  3. all the standard parts were kept. Can't say I like either version standard.

    Shabby air box

I'm very happy that I removed mine on my 750 with stock flatslides. Admittedly it took a while to get the jetting and running right however the ease of access to the carbs, induction noise and looks were well worth it to me regardless of the perceived performance aspects. Goes really well with K&Ns with sorted jetting and I'd do it again on another slabby, albeit with knowing which jets to start with now
  5. This. Ohlins fork springs and rear damper on my recent S, forks raised through yokes, modern tyres, chain slack correctly set, all bearings and linkages checked, greased and torqued - sorted. Braided lines, caliper rebuilds and modern pads sorted the braking. No handling issues at all yet still flighty in a fun way if you really pushed it which to be honest meant the front wheel was hovering! Engine wise it had clearances done, later model water pump cover, plumbing and temp sender location, the common water pump seal fix, injection setup properly, power commander, k&n and cans. I decided to remove and polish the black from the downpipes too, much better look as they are stainless underneath. Went very well with no stuttering/glitches. I spent time and money getting it perfect for me (near stock looking yet fully sorted) only to find it aggrevated an old injury while riding to the point of pain each ride so it got sold for an irresistible offer. The new owner is VERY happy with it. A flawed from new bike however plenty of easily found information on the internet on sorting them and rare now in good unmolested condition so likely to go up in value.
  6. Yes it does. However it may suddenly and violently decide to find it's correct position again. My slabby looked awesome with it done by mistake once, however it didn't look safe so didn't ride it.

    Shabby air box

I did mine. @Brians 7/12 then used it to house hamsters.
  8. Ah that's a shame. We like TL on here, not so much Bimota.
  9. It may well be, however I've mislaid my microscope.
  10. One is exciting, the other is not.
  11. Had 2 S and 1 R. Loved the S hated the R. Felt far too long.
  12. Personally I've found looking at what mains are in jet kits for the bike/mods and starting around there. You can then save a lot of time by then getting it on a dyno to get advice on how to tweak it to get it right. Different bike (but still a 750) and different carbs completely (flatslides) however approx 30% bigger on mains was where I started for mine with individual k&ns and a loud full system.
  13. From the first post it reads like you are removing the air box and fitting individual/dual filters. That right? If so yes, you will need bigger main jets at the very least.
  14. I've found the 'dynojet troubleshooting guide' PDF to be useful when doing pre-dyno jetting guesstimates regardless of having a dynojet kit or not. Not sure if it's still on here somewhere however a google should find it. Failing that I've got a copy on the home PC should you want it.
  15. Dunno why but that sounds like a recent takeaway delivery order. Think I had crispy duck too. Back on topic I've found jet kits to come with stoopidly big mains too. Mmm... big main courses.
  16. You need 50 posts before you can access the traders section (and post wanted ads).

    Fucking hideous.
  18. One of these days I'll put this fairing back on. Wheels are staying black though.

    Engine oil

One of those topics that everyone has a different answer for... please read rule 8.
  20. Had one when I was 16. Big bore, loud exhaust and jack up of course. Took the air filter off as it sounded cool. Learnt an important lesson about jetting after it blew up whilst drag racing a mate on his FS1E.
