  1. You know that's quite a mystery. Sorry couldn't resist...
  2. Probably load of other stuff hidden away as well that we would not know. Perhaps they just put on for bling and actually blocked off to throw competition, seen similar things done before. You never what secrets go on in those closed shed doors. It's only running quarter and has rebuild all time anyhow oh cam wear let's just try another set something else sir.
  3. It's certainly worth checking your valve lift and make sure they not bottoming out as Ian has said. Also check for roughness on the valve may have picked up. Other then completely as stated above worn guides but to go that quick suspicious of bottoming out or some sort valve issue.

That's really interesting. You got Roger to do seats. Regret selling loads stuff including that head was having had enough bikes moment lol.
  5. Any muck gets crunched by oil pump before gets anywhere near the filter.
  6. Running big blocks is different story altogether then you got to feed oil from somewhere but then I would go main gallery with restrictors. Plenty on here have done this.
  7. Could very well be high compression.
  8. The oil kits belong on same shelf as the red Chinese levers. Ok for the trailer queens. You dont see any of the Yoshi race bikes with this stuff on, for good reason.
  9. Why oh why are we intent on taking pump oil presured circuit and throw it into the cooling circuit makes no sense. The cams are last item to receive oil as it is and do like to chew up over time as it is, yet you want to actually reduce the pressure even more. Some crazy peeps out there.
  10. I would be more worried about the oil pump pick up, have you seen the state of most oil pumps stripped after some time in service. And these are £400 a pop.
  11. Your not talking extra cooling are you but the load rubbish cam to cam oil links. If so why and no. If talking extra cooling i.e. head cooling oil cooler then yes.

What's your plan. I rate Nathan and he was convinced they would not be able to get it work, because of balance of getting ramps to jump verses the grip under power. On stock motor could see it working and as you don't do stock really curious and interested.

I was told they couldnt get it to work right because of the extra power bike was making. Be interesting to know what you make of it.
  14. What sort power can you get out of them Clive that would been well cool.
  15. I would run total loss you not got rotation of alternator as well as weight. They are significantly heavy really. Every bit make difference on the race bikes.
  16. Rick they may not fit the the 34's and they might not have the step, check with one of the washers you have first.
  17. What you are all forgetting is on side stand floats and fuel are not level and can weep especially on old worn out parts if few level is high. Also have you checked fuel height this may be route cause making it run really rich. Could even be worse ie rings worn out, is it smoking etc but doubt the rings have gone be getting all sorts of issues.
  18. Pleased to confirm all Uk and foreign orders have arrived. Holland post seemed to be real bottle neck for some reason. Got few sets left now which was initially holding back, if anyone wants some. Any checked if 36's have the step.
  19. In my build thread there some pics of k6 or 7 fit which is pretty identical. First task is machine cush drive as much as possible, to get wheel and chain run over and make spacers to suit. The srad lot easier to fit as even thou they all 6 inch the srad has smaller lip make outer part of rim a little less wide. Main thing is run straight edges to front wheel and check and check. It's all bit of compromise may have to space gearbox sprocket couple of mm to. Some have compromised further by using 520 chain personally I really do not think that's good idea when running more power let alone standard. The srad probably best 6 inch to use for a good fit and correct wheel alignment but not as light as later k.
  20. I think Mark wants to use R1 solenoid as the relay for this charging mod, I presume. Problem here starter Solenoids are not continuous rated they high current for short durations.
  21. Right just had confirmation Holland order arrived so have few more sets I've been holding back, just in Case that are now available.
  22. My personal opinion on oil boiler cooling is you really can't get enough if you read about Yoshi development They really struggled with heat and this was during the race. Curved rads work better radtec proved this with Rand D think with Triumph but don't quote me on manufacturer may got that bit mixed up. Mr Bean making good numbers with his system so got to take note of that too, mines making good power N.A. with stock oil cooler and extra head cooler with real high compression it gets dam hot but don't think suffer with over heat, but if riding on road which try to avoid then try to avoid traffic of shut it down.
