  1. A. M. Phillpots do a good job of re chrome on fork legs.
  2. Only truly bad bearings I have come across are Romania rollaway. Avoid like the plague. Had two sets of brass cage roller bearings fail in less than ten minutes. On an electric motor on light run test.
  3. Rs bearings have extra clearance as std than non sealed bearings. If you take the rubber seals out you end up with a bearing with equivalent to a c3 spec bearing. Always used the best quality RS c3 bearings I could libarate from work on wheels
  4. 1170 on the std barrel is a good size. Plenty of meat left to keep reliable. Been done lots of times.
  5. New mounts needed. The working out the position you require.
  6. Hi bud. Welcome to OSS. Nice project.
  7. 36 or 38. I have heard that 40s can be a pain to set up. Personly I like 38s
  8. You learn something every day. LOL
  9. A cheap way to fit the bearings. A length of screwed rod and a couple of plates with clearance holes couple of nuts and slowly wind them in. Keep checking your pulling them in square.
  10. Used 38s with good results in the past
  11. 1100 Katana. Doesn't that have a cable driven tacho? If so won't be an electrickery fault. Check the cable is OK.
  12. Hi. Welcome to OSS. O. M. G. Another brown seat. Looks simalar to a Gurls blouse tank.
  13. Hi bud. Put on some weight recently? LOL
  14. Hi bud. Welcome to OSS. Needs a write up and more pics
  15. Only knew as I have a 750j and always fancied an 1100j. Lol
  16. 750 J is the first slingshot. With the short stroke motor. 1100J is the last slabbie but with 18"three spoke wheels
  17. Hi bud. I don't think the bandit will be a straight swap for a water cooled motor. Almost straight swap for slabbie and slingshot. I think it will need a bit of surgery to get it in. Expert will be along shortly to confirm.
  18. Hi bud. Welcome to OSS. Gs are cool.
  19. Hi. Sorry to hear about your off. Hope you heal quickly.
