It just clips over the frame tube. The internal bore is a bit smaller than the frame diameter so the flexibility of the nylon holds it in place. It's a tight fit and you need to wear gloves when putting it on.

Took a gamble & ordered these for 45p each 1960s vacume cleaner drive belts,  & to my amazement they fit the front tank mount.

Got the right seat height for me (am 6-2) with enough leg room, knees fit nicely in the tank with the rear sets that came with the bike. Seat unit still don't look quite right though.

Got them of the bay of e. the seller still had 3 left after my purchase. Search for vacume cleaner  drive belt. Am looking at sewing machine ones as well.

Got some generation 2 hayabusa wheels for the Harris. Back one is bloody big but is the look I is after. Can now see where to go with this in my own minds eye. Will be getting a faring of some sort later.

Not as tight as the front one nut it works 100mm sewing machine ones.

Knocked some temporary spacors up out of some old 1mm tube to fit in the k8 top hat spacors to centre the back wheel & see what measurements I need for the new top hats. Think I can get away with a 190 tyre.

After spinning around North Yorkshire on the scratcher for a bit, started to put my mock up motor together. Really didn't think it was going to fit the hsrris at first but it does . Sat drinking a beer looking at it now .

I'm using the same wheels in my EFE. What's your chain run like? I reckon I'm gonna have to use an offset sprocket and take about 10mm off the wheel and sprocket carrier to line it up!

@davecara need a back caliper hanger to bolt it all together properly, but it don't look to bad at the moment. Really don't want to notch the frame on this.

I managed to score a BKing Caliper and hanger for £30 on eblag so they are about for sensible money

Got this in the post today caliper hanger, caliper, goodridge hose & good pads £35 delivered, not to bad I thought. Haven't got time to play with it later as am of to a mates funeral.

I used RJT dairy pipe seals to hold the tank on as I was working in a dairy at the time........ we used to buy a bag of 100 2 inch ones for a tenner!!!!!!

Going of the busa wheels, thought the back one felt heavy so got the bathroom scales out. It's over 3lb heavier than the early r1 wheel. Also got some fancy 1l k8 forks for it.

Think I have solved my wheel weight problem. Been on for a spin to Leeds to pick these up.

The wheels are aluminium forged  marchesni out of a gsxr 1000k5., the back one fits straight into the 1000k8 swinging arm. Got 5 talon sprocket as well but are the thin ones. Got the discks as well but the front ones have seen better days. Will do for mock up though. Chain run looks to be about 8mm out.

Forgot to mention the back marchesni wheel is over 6lb lighter than the busa one & 2lb lighter than the r1 wheel.
