Swiss Toni
They’re so tight, I’ve had to strip the motor around them! 1127. I’m now left with the cylinders and the upper crankcase. The fuckers just won’t budge! When hit, they sound as if they’re part of the upper case. Any dodges to make them part company? Presently soaking in WD40. I want to avoid breaking any fins, as they’re in really good nick! Edited June 24, 2022 by Swiss Toni Quote Link to comment
Joseph
Session in the oven ? That said, if it can fit in the oven A prop under the liners should make the alloy upper case plop down once dilated ? Quote Link to comment

Joseph
The man said all he's got left in his hands is the cylinder block welded to the upper case, so i'm guessing he didn't forget a screw or the crank Quote Link to comment

gsxwill
I have always soaked pistons in gas oil (red diesel), works well But if you have oil drum style barbecue, you can try the heat and cool route as suggested by @joseph Good luck Quote Link to comment
