paulyp Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 (edited) Hi guys. So this Bandit 1200 sort of fell into my lap for cheap. Not sure what to do with it? Bike runs good. I don't see many MK2's modified? Was thinking maybe a cafe racer? I already have a 1999 MK1 and they seem to be the preferred model to modify. I don't want to leave it as is. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers Paul Edited April 29, 2021 by Blubber removed pic of stock and fugly MK2 Quote
Blubber Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 (edited) Please try the bandit owners club for that kind of advice This is OSS, only heavily modified bandits are allowed on here. So break it, turbo it, put it in a ET frame Edited April 29, 2021 by Blubber 2 Quote
paulyp Posted April 29, 2021 Author Posted April 29, 2021 Thanks Blubber, now I do have a spare EZ frame in the shed!! decisions decisions. Cheers Paul 2 Quote
TonyGee Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 suzuki cocked up with the mk2 its not a good looking bike they should of kept it a mk1. bin the frame and bodywork and put the rest into an old GS/GSX frame. Quote
Dezza Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 'Cafe racer' is a term that doesn't go down well here for all kinds of reasons, especially when used in conjunction with 'Blandit.' By the description given it sounds like you have just bought a decent donor bike . 1 Quote
vizman Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 Shitsville is thataway >>>>> keep the motor and sundries, sell the rest on some blanditfacebook group. with the proceeds get into a project that will spiral out of control 2 Quote

vizman Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 If it was that cheap, punt it on and buy a proper airkooled lump for the ez..... ...also sell the mk1 blandshit so you can pimp the shizzle out of the ez. Quote

bluedog59 Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 Get the forks sorted, re-valve, springs, fit a good aftermarket shock, lighter wheels etc but keep it looking stock(ish), fit a rack, maybe even bungee a sandwich box on it, wear a dayglo belt. Then, Tune the f**k out of it, bore kit, cams, head job, big flatslides and have fun scaring the sh*t out of sports bikes. 2 Quote
