Skinny Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Thanks for letting me join you all on here. Can anybody advise me where to start looking for a dead Rev counter. Everything else works fine. Quote
Askamaskinservice Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Welcome to OSS. Is this a 750cc and what year? Have you looked in the schematics? Br, Hasse. Quote
Skinny Posted September 20, 2019 Author Posted September 20, 2019 Thank you. I wanted one of these in the early 80’s but was a skint Plumbing Apprentice. Love this bike and am going to do it up a bit. It needs a bit more poke. Quote

Dezza Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 (edited) If you scroll down the forum aircooled section you will find this thread with the info you need. Suzukis of this ilk use a black/yellow wire teed in between the cdi and coils to feed the tacho. Edited September 21, 2019 by Dezza Quote
Skinny Posted September 21, 2019 Author Posted September 21, 2019 Thanks for the info on fixing this problem. Very helpful indeed. Quote

Skinny Posted October 6, 2019 Author Posted October 6, 2019 I've found the yellow and black wire from the CDI to my tachometer. It has a live feed right up to the tachometer. I take it it's the actual tacho that must now be defective as there's still no sign of life. Can these be repaired ? Quote

I did this with some gauge plastics - easier to buy whole cluster just for the clear plastic! Quote
