hi guys just joined thought would let you all know what i,m up too

bought a really scabby bandit 12 to convert into a xr69 rep, engine seemed ok but split it anyway for a good clean and new camchain

going down the dot head and cam route plus 38s and a dyna ignition so any advice/guidance  would be welcome plus promise to keep stupid questions to a minimum

my last foray into oil cooled was a GSXR1100H that i drag raced and got upto 157rwhp at the end

well bottom end back together shells checked plus new DID camchain

start on the barrels and bugger me at the cost of genuine rings so having a rethink

has anyone used wossner big bore pistons, ive got one in my xr600 but not in a multi

have been offered a set at a really good price sub £400 so quite tempted only downside

is not being able to use the dot head so will have to get the bandit one flowed or is it worth

trying to track down a gsxr11 head instead and get that flowed????????

dot head comes from short stroke 750 o/c engine - has 'dot' as per Swiss - same size valves as 1100/1157, smaller combustion chamber volume for a bump up in compression ratio (always good for more torque) - they have higher entry from inlet port to valve (helps a bit too).

well change of direction because of recent events decided to build the bandit back up as a tatty street bike, just been to dyno today and am mightily impressed

143.3 rwhp with 93 foot pounds of torque not bad for a shed build
