  1. Ordered all the parts I need for the spare wheels and rear caliper rebuild, some good savings reckon I saved a couple of hundred quid off full price in the Suzuki sale Cleaned the chain and refitted tonight, painted a few more bits and popped on the new rear brake line, day off tomorrow so hope to get some all day shed time once the boss goes shopping
  2. Back on its wheels for the first time in a couple of years, rear wheel temp fitted so I can get on with a few jobs done outside the shed
  3. Painted a few more bits today, and got the swingarm back in,can’t finish it off as I need a new rear shock as mines fooked Cant decide whether to put the white wheels back in or the original silver ones,so stripped off the old tyres and removed the seized bearings.
  4. Started to strip the rear caliper will finish it next weekend
  5. Managed to do a bit in between fitting new rear discs and pads to her indoors car today. New bearings fitted to the cushion lever and cleaned up a rusty bracket ready for painting,a bit of progress just not fast enough
  6. Back home for the weekend a day earlier than planned it’s not raining so thought time for a quick ride, took some starting as she’s not been run since last Nov. Out for a couple of hours, the back roads are pretty dirty but had a bit of fun and got the oil warmed up,checked the minor suspension adjustments I made seem a bit better but need a good setup before I stick some more power through the motor next year. Stopped to warm my hands and took a quick pic

  11. Think there just anti rattle springs aren’t they, probably ok without. i might have some in the shed but can’t check until I’m back home in a couple of weeks not sure how much they are new but deffo saw them on the vintage parts sale list the other day when I was looking for parts for the smoker
  12. I’ve been in before so happy to give someone else the chance Project RGV or as I like to call it the box of bits,is looking less likely to be ready in time due to lack of funds I could supply one of the other 2 working bikes or I can always wheel in my non-Suzook it has the same front end as your ET I’m still happy to help out whatever, just making the offer,I’ll be coming up anyway if I escape from the cold of Greenland in time.....
  13. I use it on these and the powder coated spares it’s good stuff
  14. This stuff,I’m sure there’s some better out there but it was free as I borrowed off my lad and I’ve still got it
  15. I reckon that’s a fair price ,I’ve seen a few on eblag lately the most expensive sold for £75 ,there’s one on their now with bids at £45 ,good luck on getting one sorted
  16. Power valve controller cleaned, few other odd jobs done plus put some alloy sealer on the frame, ordered a H*C style rear brake reservoir which was cheaper than replacing the knackered hose and clips with Suzuki parts
  17. Got the battery box out went to clean it to find the parts washer fluid frozen solid and removed loads of rusted and seized bolts, cleaned up the rear wire harness and plugs, then retreated back inside when my feet went dead
  18. Not bought a heater yet but as I’m an old skool tight bastard so I thought I’d layer up and get a few hours in the garage again this afternoon Need to get the bearings out the cushion lever so left it on the rad in the kitchen for a few hours than heated it with my heat gun then started to use all my techniques to drive/pull the old bearings out. Took an hour and a half and all’s good ,just need to clean it up with some scotchbrite and get some new bearings. Another job ticked off
