Refitted the tank,alloy sealed all the polished stuff,quick pic before the rain arrived again ,now Donny ready

Found a nasty leak on the float bowls so spent some garage time sorting,fitted some stainless bolts I had lying around while I was at it,also sorted the fuel hose routing while the tank was off. Broken chain guard welded by my mate,had it powder coated to while I was at it,refitted ready for Donington next weekend. Just waiting for my new OSS stickers to arrive.....

After a bit of fettling with the carbs,she’s running the best she has for the last couple of years,starts first time and picks up cleanly,the real test will be when the weather warms up a bit more as last year the hot weather messed the running up,for that 1 day of summer we had. Cleaned her and photo before locking the shed

Sorted a couple of electrical gremlins this morning,checked the battery with my meter on startup and running under load and all seems better now. Quick blast round the block and pic with the young un before the ff..ing rain started to pour

Battery box refitted,sorted some of the spaghetti and connected what I could,CDI regulator and power valve control unit temp fitted

Repaired the harness clamp that fits to the frame with a Stanley knife,some isopropyl and a new sticky patch,a little job but satisfying to fix as the parts no longer available Final pic before I wheeled it back in the shed,nice to work outside for a change

New clutch lever and lh switch gear fitted, oiled all the cables that aren’t getting replaced. Refitted the footrests with the proper bolts even managed to fix the dust cover on the ignition switch that was stuck open Fitted a HRC style reservoir for now until I can sort something better and fitted the clipons

Got to work with some GT 85 and some scotchbrite and the disc came up pretty good,need to do the other one next but quite pleased with how it looks compared to the non refurbished one

Stripped the circa 2001 front tyre off the rim and removed the bearings ready for powder coating,had to heat the disc bolts but got them all out eventually

Tried to buy one of these a while back but sadly the prices were to high for me,still a nice looking and great sounding bike though.
