  1. I don't know about a shallower filter but could you fit an adaptor plate and run a remote filter ?
  2. You're being defeatist, a bit of JB Weld and you could fix that.
  3. My garage looks like a bomb has gone off in a scrapyard at the moment.

    Suzi 2

And have a look to see if it's a genuine Suzuki lock and key rather than aftermarket. That could explain cranking but no spark.
  5. 1. More power. 2. Upgrade suspension. 3. Upgrade brakes. 4. Light wheels. They do make rather good " sleepers".
  6. That is a very nice job, ticks all the boxes perfectly. It's one of the few I've see where it actually looks like it could have been made that way. Laverda 650 ?
  7. All I would suggest is that you choose one that suits the style/shape of the tank, make sure the area where the seat unit meets the tank is tidy and don't have it an angle like a Nordic ski slope.
  8. We're not lonely, we've got loads of mates in "air-cooled" trying to get our cast off bits to upgrade their bikes.
  9. It's certainly better looking than your choice in cars. Very nice bike and loads off fun. Are you keeping it "as is" or going to tinker ?
  10. My idea of an "emergency spare" is an item that could be used in a dire emergency. IE. It's Sunday afternoon, the current part is totally u/s and you need the bike working again before the shops open tomorrow.
  11. Yep, if the pins are within spec and good condition they should be ok to continue using them. Third time for the gasket ? Treat the old girl to a new one and keep the old one as possible emergency spare. Always use new circlips and good quality one. It's not worth penny pinching in view of the damage a failure can cause.
  12. That does narrow it down a lot. Always good to ask the man that knows.
  13. Is it "full floating" and ,if so, is it "Factory" or "modded" ? Some of the Ducrapi Monster ones look of a similar "family design".
  14. And balancing the carbs gets rid of a lot of noise. Give it a good service and we what it sounds like after. It wouldn't do any harm anyway.
  15. I can't tell you what it's off but maybe we can narrow it down a bit. What spacing are the caliper mounts ? It looks to be a full floating mount. Does it look "Factory" or "Modded" ? If it's"Factory", what has a floating rear brake with that caliper spacing ? I'm thinking Ducati.
  16. Ask Maxton. They keep very good records and are very helpful.
  17. I would think the type will be the same (interchangeable) but no necessarily the same jet size/number.
  18. Have you taken the cam cover off and turned it over by hand to check ?
  19. I don't know if they still do but Goodrich's used to do a fitting that looked like the normal end type fitting but actually had a Jubilee clip inside. Spray the fitting that converts the cooler from thread to "push on" blue and you can look posh on the cheap ( not that I've ever done this in the past your honour ).
  20. The part numbers will be different as they not identical parts but unfortunately doesn't tell you what's different.

    B12 yokes

Could somebody please tell me if there is any difference ( dimensions wise ) between MK1 and MK2 yokes ?
  22. I don't know, there are quite a few bearings that have options on the I/d . It may only be down in the sub 25mm range of sizes and you may need to adjust the internal spacer length but it's worth checking the bearing catalogue just in case you fall lucky.
  23. Providing you can swap the bearings for ones with a bigger I/d it should be easy enough to do. If you work out the dimensions it should be easy enough to find somebody to make them.
