i know ET clocks are very rare to get hold of but i was thinking ( yeah dangerous ) the gsx550 clocks are similar'ish to the ET's , has anyone used a set on their ET ? im not bothered about it being correct as long as it looks right.

you shouldn't have battery voltage to both wires to the coil, one has 12v the other is the trigger from the CDI. sounds like a short !!!

never seen carbs that crapped up before and ive cleaned a few. looks like grinding paste

cant read the wiring diagram as it goes blurry when i zoom in, but it does sound like theirs a switch on the centre stand !!!!! never seen one before but worth a look i suppose just in case

yeah i here what you are saying, the bike im building isn't an ET but im using ET tank/tail and side panels, just thought it would look right with the proper headlight and clocks. but as you say its not gona be cheap to get the bits i want. maybe down the line somat might turn up cheap

measure the circumference of both tyres and you will see a difference which will confirm what captain chaos has told you. then change one of your sprockets to go back to what you had.

i might have to shelve this idea for now, its for the zuma project but i do have bandit clocks and headlight that i'll use till i get hold of some. i need et clocks as well so its not gona be a cheap job
