  1. Doh !!!!! what a fecking plonker, i thought for some reason we where talking about a 1200 bandit ?????? just ignore me (its the drugs you know) i'll go away eventually
  2. cylinder bore service limit is 79.080mm . piston service limit is 78.880mm. piston/cylinder service limit is 0.12mm. from factory service manual.
  3. do you know anyone who works in a machine shop ? when i put a bandit 1200 swinger in my 750ET i bought an ally tube of the bay of E. it needed to have an O.D of 20mm and an I.D of 14mm, it fitted really snug and worked perfect after i cut it down to the right length. i think you will need an O.D of 16mm and an I.D of 14mm. i think it only cost about 8 quid.
  4. i think most people get top hat spacers made up.
  5. them figures don't sound good i think a top end strip is in order and get the measuring gear out and while your at it a valve job too.
  6. make sure your compression tester is reading right, test it on a known good engine. seen this before when someone used a faulty tester.
  7. new they should be 178psi limit is 124psi. just for reference.
  8. worth trying your exhaust headers on now just to make sure theirs no contact with the frame tubes. or have you already done that
  9. i put a B12 swinger in my 750ET, i just used an ally tube that slid right through. 20mm O.D 14mm I.D. it fitted perfect (maybe a bit on the snug side) but thats not a bad thing.
  10. double sided tape, ive had a few over the years that use it and never had a problem. 3M is pretty good stuff.

  13. no mate its for the 1100 tank, the 400 has a very similar colour but its a bit darker. i was after copying the tank colour
  14. cheers blubber, that ES suits the Kat fairing as for google ive been looking for ages and just can't find feck all ?????? never mind, I'll just have to go with the original plan and paint the whole bike silver

  16. cheers Toni. my thoughts are if i can match the tank I'll just throw some paint on the fairing and side panels for now and get a proper job done in winter.
  17. ive had a look but can't find any info, does anyone know the paint code for this paint ? its a light metallic greyish ?????? its similar to the 400 kat but the 400 is darker than whats on my tank.

    yeah it would be nice to know for future reference by the way GSXR1100's are, 29.5 inches from top to spindle centre, fully extended.

    no prob wraith, i just thought they could be a good replacement for the hard to find GSXR1100 forks if they where a similar length.

    do you know how the zxr forks compare in length to the gsxr1100's wraith ? it would be interesting to know

    the favourite forks for the bandits is GSXR1100 ones BUT !!! they are getting really hard to find in good nick and if you do you will pay high for them, the GSRX 750 (early ones) will do but they are a bit shorter than the 1100's. their are others that people use of other makes. the problem is a lot of USD's are a bit shorter than the bandit forks and can cause handling and clearance problems, and it isn't a cheap conversion as you have to think of the wheel/calipers/mudguard and spindle. also the speedo drive. the steering stem will also have to be changed.
