  1. Have put both in before, the 750 is good fun and when I can get round to it I am doing a 550 kat with a b6 motor, and when I say get round to it because I started it about 2 years ago but other projects kept pushing in
  2. Mate has a mk1 b12 motor which has a fu#ked gear box shaft and the steel clutch plates etc are getting past there best. So is it best to get a standard gear box and clutch parts or is there a better options? Made gsxr parts? Thanks.
  3. Both 600/750 will fit in a gs550 frame.
  4. I have some b6 forks on my GS1000 fighter, I've put GSX600f HD springs in used a RF600 3.5" rim front wheel (that gos strate in) using the b6 disc's made some brackets up to use gsxr 4 pots
  5. OK, never seen this before... Started the gsx1100f powered Kat up just to keep it happy over winter. Been outside, under a nylon type bike cover. (I have the braided hose and stainless mesh filtered crank case breather up between the outside of number 4 carb and cam cover). Wheeled it around a bit, including sitting on it, no static noticrd. BUT - When I pressed the start button I saw a spark go from the outer upper side of the cam cover to the breather filter and that then gave a small flame. It has a Dyna 2000, Dyna coils and ht leads. Not started it since; suppose I ought to, but..? Any ideas what it was, or has anybody seen this before?
  6. Which would you say are the best? For a b6 that is Just thinking as got to get round to doing the 550 kat that has a b6 motor project that I started 2 years ago but then got put on hold for other projects

  9. Basically hit it (the extractor that is) hard may take 1/2 or 3 hits but it will pop off, just look out for the bits in the back piping out (springs etc)
  10. If you have had the head off dose it turn over by hand with on spark plugs in freely???

  15. now has 1100cc Wiscco big bore, CV ported head with external oil feeds, S3 Andersen cams, HD APE valve springs, underbucket shim with titanium spring top/bottoms, APE valve guides, welded crank, HD clutch with new OEM steels, new OEM cam chian with new blades and manual tensioner, gsxr 36mm carbs, one off stainless steel zorst. That's just the motor.

    Yes it works and been on the bike all year may have the twin pickups on it I can't remember now

    OK, I am using a gsxr1100ghj (1052cc) CDU on a 1127 seems to work OK revs all the way through and dose not miss. So my question is apart from the wire connect is there any difference between the two, running wise that is ?
