  1. Is that 'Wrinkle Finish'? Looks good! Powder or paint?
  2. Are Teapot and GSXR Dot Head valve sizes the same? And...are the inlet tracts on both inclined the same, or Teapot less so?
  3. Might be an EFE basket? I think they're different to ET.
  4. Great looking bike, Matt. Do you not find the TL front end puts it a bit low?
  5. The centre bearings, I levered all the needles out, and tried to fold the outer case inwards. No good. I. Then tried a few runs of weld inside casing. Didn't shrink the case. Tried using a punch against the weld. Nada! Bearing puller. Both bearings out within 10 minutes of the Postman delivering it! You will find bearing sizes on Robinsons Foundry and Alpha Sports websites. Then google sizes. Simples!
  6. 600 and 1200 linkages exactly the same! Got the centre two from Kent Bearings @ £14 plus £3 p+p. Other two are harder to come by, at the right price. Try Wemoto for them. Incidentally, if you do decide to renew, rather than get another knuckle, get an internal bearing puller. The middle two bearings are a bastard to get out without one. £17 well spent!
  7. Chris Applebee, Roger Upperton.
  8. As mentioned. Drain the oil, see what comes out. Better still, when drained, drop sump if owner will let you. Get a better look! Having said that, I bought a 750 Slabbie that had been left in the weather with plugs out, and carbs off. Inlets not plugged. I drained the oil and a bucket of water came out. Engine's fucked, I thought. On stripping it, bores were toast, bottom end was as new! So the one you're looking at may not be as bad as you think. Room for negotiation!
  9. Can anyone put some close-up photo's up of 750 Slabbie engine, so I can see orientation of engine plates. They are handed, so I need to get them right way round to fit engine right first time! Too heavy to heave in and out more than once!
  10. Tried to get mine out (750). Removed everything in the way. Still no good! Motor was coming out anyway, so not a major hurdle. However, I've heard if you give the box a good hard twist whilst removing or fitting, and it'll come out/go in!

  12. Welcome to the forum 'Kat'! You have a good start there, most of which will fit the old chassis, the rest can be made to. Easily! Start a build thread, as we all love pictures! Plenty advice when you need it. Don't be affeared to ask!

  18. Is there any way of getting the wire terminals out of these std. Suzuki block connectors for cleaning? Mine are covered in green shit!
