  1. You can do it yourself if you've access to welding gear. The small bearing sleeve with the two lugs on it? If you fab up lugs very slightly longer, you raise the ride height. It's a bit 'Trial & Error'. But, after you do it the first time, you'll know if you've gone too long! So, just tack things up to begin with, until you're happy with the height. You could make a pair up with multiple holes at different centres, pick the height you're comfortable with, then fab up a pair to that length. Saves you making a few sets! However, it might make the handling more 'squirrelly' if you've stuck with the 16" front. Good excuse to go 17". Sorry I can't be more specific, but I did this years (and I mean Donkeys) ago, and the exact measurements are lost in time! I do remember though, a little extra length gives a lot! Be conservative! Maybe when you're successfull, you'll post the length up for the next man? I'm sure I have a spare linkage somewhere if you want to experiment, and not bugger yours up?
  2. Not bad, but pricey. I take it that's a photo of the underside of yours? Can you put a pic up of the other side?
  3. Hello and welcome to OSS!
  4. I'm not surprised! I'll have a look at that Motogpworks, Manxzookie. Cheers lads!
  5. The Tank Shop???? He had my Mag2 frame, engine and 36mm Flatslides for a year. He made an electrics tray that didn't fit, a tank that looked nothing like what I asked for, was a piss poor fit anyway. My carbs were full of cement when I finally got them back. I wouldn't trust the man. Every time I called him, he had some excuse. Twat!
  6. Welcome to this side of the pond! You're gonna love it in here!
  7. Kick that idea into touch then. Bugger!
  8. Looking to fit similar type filler to big UK spec ET tank. Has anyone on here done it? Any 'photo's? Where can these fillers be got?
  9. I agree with Dezza. Find another wheel. By the time you factor in machining and sleeving costs, it's not worth the hassle. Different if you're talking Dymag or Marchesini's.
  10. No probs mate! PM me your email, and I'll see if I can send you the PDF manual!
  11. SAE10. 407ml or 141mm air gap.
  12. Sorry for the hijack Sander, but what's the length of those GSX1400 shocks Tony?
  13. Decide what you want to change. Check part no's on yours and donor bikes microfische's to confirm similarities. Or not?
  14. They were available from Robinsons Foundry last Feb. also try Robinsons in Rochdale (quoting YJ's discount code). Failing that, try CMSL in Holland. The EFE ones should do you, as the bars were slightly lower to suit the top fairing. Or get them custom made. Slinky Glide? As the motor's in a Harris, get some curtain wire, and run it from lever to clutch arm in easy curves. Either call dealers with measurements to compare to all GSX cables, or...go hydraulic!
  15. I dug mine out the other day, and it appears the control box for the Powerscreen is a 'bolt on' Just take it off, and away you go. Should be able to find a 'Teapot' one on that site cheap enough?
  16. Still available NOS! There are 3 lengths. The 'American' high bar type. The slightly lower, steeper angled EFE type. And lastly, the flatter , slightly higher EF/EG type.
  17. God only knows! FBOAB will probably enlighten you in the morning, when he gets up!
  18. Was on the phone this afternoon to the people Simbec recommended. £20 the pair plus £3:15 postage. Quality is supposed to be very good. Can't be bad. Would still prefer OE though!
  19. If no info forthcoming, I'd start by fitting the engine to the front mounts, and start measuring from there.
  20. Anyone got a phone number for the company that reproduces the small trims that fit between the tailpiece & sidepanels of 1100 ET/EX's? Has anyone bought them? Are they a good fit? I think this company also may reproduce Kat fairings? Seems to ring a bell. Unless... anyone's got an original pair, with intact fixings they want to part with?
  21. Best thing you could do with that old donk is take the motor out, find either ET , ESD or EFE frame and bodywork, insert said motor. Source modern running gear, and away you go. Believe me, you'll thank me in the long run!
