  2. Try balancing the carbs first.

    hello

Welcome, Griff! Look forward to watching your progress!
  6. Welcome! Electrolysis for the pipes. Phosphoric Acid ( Pool Cleaner) mixed 4-1 with water for the tank. Failing that, White Vinegar. You could also mix a tin of Black Treacle (Molasses) to a bucket of boiling water, and sling that in! Don't do the usual 'handful of nuts' to loosen rust from the tank insides, instead use a length of chain (not a bike chain), far easier to fish out than nuts!
  7. Just measured mine (85F) and they're 7 x 1.0mm
  8. Go to the Factory Pro website. All the carb set-up data's there, and a lot more info too!
  9. Don't think a bottle jack's feasable. The only thing I can envisage, using the pulling gear, would be a jack head with a hole to pass the draw bolt through it Only problem there is, you'd be pulling and pushing against the rotor. Bit like standing in a bucket and trying to lift it by the handle!
  10. I'd restore it! Fairings are getting like hens teeth nowadays but, Jason Fibreman will sort you out with the lot!
  11. Front mounts will need cropping, but I think it might look ok fitted! Sorry for 'photo quality.
  12. I'll try mine on for you later on today, if you like?
  13. No pics...it didn't happen!
  14. He'll be along shortly, no doubt! Off the top of me head, I remember he used Slingshot front wheel, 4 pot Nissins and either 600 or 750 Teapot discs. Used spacers on the caliper mounting points to centre them. Can't remember if the speedo drive had to be 'massaged' to fit. It's an easy upgrade!
  15. That's interesting, Roger! Clive's link pretty much confirms your findings. Cheers lads!
  16. Ok, had another look with the magnifying glass. Dot cams have very faint markings on end. One is half a B, the other looks like a G but may also be B. Egay ones have no markings on ends whatsoever. Still black finish, so not worn. Strange!
  17. I'll have another look. If there's any markings where you say they are, they'll be mighty faint!
  18. Ok Gary. How's about this? I found the J/K cams. Stamped into the right side of the cam, between the cam wheel and the first lobe is: 27A IN. 180 degrees opposite this is: R1 Cast into the cam, on the left side are the letters B and 180 degrees opposite, C. Base circle: 28mm. Lobe height: 33mm. Ex cam: (Stamped) 27A EX. R1 ect, (Cast): R and C. Now, the cams that came off the Dot head. Inlet cam stamping same as J/K cam on right side, but cast in letters on left side are: C and 1. Ex cam stamping a same as J/K, but now cast-in numbers are: B and 8. All base circle/lobe heights same on all 4 cams.
