  1. Par for the course with DVLA. They could maybe cross reference the bin to obtain the reg. Maybe not. Probably best approach the VJMC. £30 per year though.
  2. @wraithIt is good stuff! I used to get it on Westgate Hill. Around £10 a bottle. Recommended mix was, iirc, 4 parts gas-1 part YCC. The required volume is fed to the carbs. Crank the engine without starting to pull mix through. Leave for 12 hrs. If no improvement, repeat. It never fails. Can go stronger mix if required. I kid you not.
  3. Never used it but, YCC’ll take some beating. Red label only.
  4. Give YamahaCarbCleaner a go before you strip down. If it solves your problem, great! If not, at least all your internals will be nice and clean. Go for the red label, if available. Yellow label is useless shoite!
  5. @Graham6cylinder What a job! Good on you! We’re all very interested in this build, so we can’t have enough info/photo’s of it. Welcome to OSS. You’ll fit right in. Could you do a full build thread?
  6. I was just going to mention that one. I’d like to know more about it!
  7. As Tony says, screw them in until they just seat. No more. Then back out as required. The probable reason for yours differing in the amount of protrusion into the inlet tract, is maybe the po was a bit heavy handed with the screwdriver bottoming them out, so slightly enlarging the hole, thus the differing levels of … penetration.

    Gaskets?

Go Cometic. And remember … only OE oil drain o rings do the job!
  9. @WellingtonCometic’s always an option. Your casings will be fine with paint stripper. Be sure to neutralise with baking soda, or the paint will react.
  10. Second that for Athena. Decent quality, affordable. And, welcome to OSS, by the way!
  11. Welcome to OSS. Put some photo’s up of the GS?
  12. Put a link up and let us all have a gander!
  13. I’m already starting to dribble!
  14. And, some casings have a blind hole from the main gallery, which is near the starter ring idler gear. Others have a blind hole at the front. You need to know exactly what you need.
  15. No. They’re all different. But … the difference in a part number could just mean a colour change. What’s the stator mounting ring dia. and bolt size? Have you got the original case? There’s numbers inside, what are they? A picture says a thousand words!
  16. Post up links for Polish & Chinese sources please?
  17. Go to The Vault, and read Frankensteins Pages. There, you will learn what fits … and what doesn’t!
  18. These are the std. wheels for EF 3 spokes are an upgrade
  19. Both 750 and 1100 ET frames are the same. So are the tanks.
  20. Get them re-chromed. Either Philpots or HCP&G. Both good.
