  1. Up to you. I would think all the Slabbie tanks have the same opening. Not too sure about others. Aftermarket, specific to your bike will do.
  2. Don’t waste your time looking for an EF one!
  3. Basically, almost anything can be ‘massaged’ to fit. Not too difficult a conversion to do. @wraithand @TonyGeewill be able to point you in the right direction. And, welcome!
  4. LPM Plastics, maybe? kazbiggs@hotmail.co.uk
  5. I think there’s two on here that’s done it @Fula28was one.
  6. And Dot 4 is kinder to paintwork!
  7. Seen good results from that. Matches GS1000 perfectly!
  8. Well, I’ve got them free! But, which way are they supposed to come out of the preload adjuster? They’ll only screw out a few turns, or screw in slightly below the top surface ... but that’s it! Won’t to right in, won’t come right out. Bugger!
  9. Or use soft jaws. Easy enough to make.
  10. Don’t snap the extractor. Then you’ll really be paggered!
  11. Strip the rack down as much as possible, then dump them in a bucket of water for a week. You could throw a squirt of dish soap and lemon juice in too! Sounds daft, but it works. Be gentle with them … especially the float posts.
  12. @slayer61It’s a sort of mild bleach. Commonly used for sterilising babies bottles and the like.
  13. Couldn’t you have just made an o ring? And the OE price and shipping for that new res? Silly money! Get some sterilising fluid, used neat. Steep the old res. in it. That’ll whiten it up a tad!
  14. Perseverance. Name of the game! Bits and pieces are getting far too expensive to break.
  15. A member posted a comprehensive breakdown on Dot heads a while ago. Everything you need to know. Do a search.
  16. Keep filling it up with boiling water. It should break free ok.
  17. Fact! There's an OE tool, much like a C spanner, that goes under the cam and locates on the edge of the follower. on rotating the handle of the too towards the head surface, the follower is depressed enough to remove, measure and replace the shim.
  18. There'll be some tongues hanging out when they see this! Welcome to OSS, Paul!
