If you have spent a lot of money on the engine why not get a better flowing tap, it can not hurt apart from a little extra cost but not a lot in the sckeem of things.
-
Well if I am going to fit this draw through turbo the engine has to go further forward than the last pic because the turbocharger hits the frame rail that mounts the shock.

Yea think your right, spent quite a few hours mesing about with engine & turbo kit position. Looking like most the turbo stuff is junk.
-
Still messing about with the engine position, this pic is with it in the middle down pipes fitted & turbo roughly positiond. Nowt fits but the swinging arm position don't look to bad to me.
-
Not all the time, it's just sat there in the pic.

Been mesing about with engine position & where ever I fit it the kit I have does not look like it will bolt straight on. Looks like a bit more head scratching, turbo was designed to fit a Kat.

You only hear it with engine off on start up when letting it clear the oil before start up.

Thanks for all the replies fellas. @nlovienwas thinking that might be the way to alter it if I go down that road.@Swirlthe owner thinks the yellow framed one is for the gsxr1100 motor origanly. Have seen other early mag 2 frames with what look to be the same back top engine mount for Z' s. @fatblokeonbanditvery Intresting pics already fitted my engine just about like that but am waying the options up befor the final build. @baldrickI can see the thinking in that but don't really want to alter the frame that much even though the seat unit has been changed.

@baldrickYes please I like pictures.

Green frame is the one I am fitting the 1127 motor to. Interestingly the green frame is different to your blue one but very simlar to the red one I have.
-
So in theory the closer & level the front sprocket is to the arm spindle the better.
-
What are peoples opinions on mounting a oil cooled 1127 motor in a magnum 2 frame, is it best to have the weight forward or as far back as possible. Have seen it do e both ways. Any advantages or disadvantages with either method?

I made this one & have got uset to having no reserve I just reset the mile counter every time I fill up.
-
17 won't fit. Am running 16/43 on the road still loads the Turbo & fast.
-
Had no problems with my set up, over 3000 miles this summer 260hp b12 barrels busa pistons.

Tdo4l & nearly 16psi big valve flowed cylinder head.

Still looks like a TOOL to me, a TOOL that can be used.
