The inlet tracts on 750's are much steeper, so the carbs sit higher, but the barrels are 13mm shorter so the carbs might bge about in the same place, but a shorter 750 with an 1100/1200 head with flatter inlets would lower the carbies quite a bit anyway all academic now
-
They are the hiflow ones for a bandit 1200, so will be fine.... The main thing is they fit and look OK.... if they hadn't I was seriously considering getting a 750 with a 1100 head to move the carbs down, But anyway I can now crack on with the mounts and make them out of something shiny and do the chain run, then exhaust and fire it up,,, simples....

As this is a no budget rebuildThe plan is flush the cases for several hours with parts washer, see if it all spins OK, slap another piston in and cobble it back together with another head from the shed and fire it up..
-
Found the missing bits.. one liner is scored to buggery, but i have some spare from another engine, and as the wifes in I cant use the new over to heat them and remove them so had to use the press,

At the moment ive stuck it in the back of the garage until after Donnington next weekend, in the hope that whilst im away the Mikuni faries will have sorted it out but yes i think i will persever with the 1200....

A fellow bandit owner bought another B12 non runner complete for a very cheap price, the previous owner said it only runs on 3 and iv e dropped something down the hole so it dont turn over!!!! on first inspection it seemed that the tappet adjuster from the duff cylinder was missing and the bugger was solid, probable fell into the cam sprocket and jammed it, says I. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well Fek my old BOOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we have a problem Capn'....

Yes, buy a manual and read it......... the 1200 clutch springs are completely different to the 600, and only use genuine Suzuki fibers

that's odd, all the cams in the picture had a letter stamped on the end, ??
-
have a look at the very right hand outside edge of the cams next to the notch, and see whats stamped there, the cast marks are just that apparently casting marks for the blanks before grinding
