  5. The big sticker says "ohlins" ......or maybe "snilho" depending on how you look at it
  6. Good job fella ! Not bad at all for first attempt .
  7. I don't follow Dup...... in my book taller gearing = top end. ....... shorter gearing = grunt ......so going larger front with stock rear will give taller gearing....... smaller front stock rear gives shorter gearing
  8. You staying stock ratio or going shorter ? Stock is 15/42 = .357......18/49 =.367....... 18/50 = .360 .......18/51= .346............Higher the number means more revs/grunt..... lower ..... well..... means taller
  9. That is so fuckin' righteous of you ! That is one bad ass looking kat !
  10. Lol.... it is hard work.... that is why so many have it done and then comment on how to do it ....
  11. Pictures don't lie....well....sort of...... but you can pat yourself on the back if it makes ya feel better about being correct .

  15. Clive..... could you grab a pic of the covers laying flat...... would like to see the hight differances .... thnx
  16. What motor are you using .... air... oil ? I ask this because depending on where the motor is placed ..... oil cooled for example ... if central or forward , the output shaft is now further away from the pivot point which will slightly change the chain height (lower)..... this can be compensated by using larger F/R sprockets . The other problem is chain tension..... moving things around changes how the chain reacts to up and down movement of the suspension via the swingarm / pivot..... the last thing you need is your chain tightening when the suspension is compressed . I guess you can get away with subtle changes at the pivot as long as the arc remains within a measured amount of suspension travel .
  17. Is it always about the money ? If it's mint and you actually plan on riding it..... buy it.
  18. Had the same dilema with the flange hole being so small....
  19. Yam thunderace has a beefy looking short swinger.... can't give ya the actual measurent though ..... btw.... good response on the frame spreding.... could not have said it any better myself .
  20. 4-2-1 ? .... where do you plan on putting the turbo ? If up front .... forget about the 421 . If you can manage some tight radius bends for the header, keep the turbo high enough..and tight as you can to the motor for wheel clearance......above the oil for gravity drain..... but if not .... no biggie... use a chamber and pump combo . Purge your pipes while welding as this will eliminate crusty and nasty inside crystalisation of your welds .
  21. Rods will be in the pan soon enough .....
  22. Oppologies..... Loudon classic was not a sanctioned ama race series.....
