  2. If you've got a multimeter, measure the resistance on the pink wire in the different gears. You want the upper gears to show the same resistance as 1-3. Hayabusas used 6.8K Ohm to trick their bikes into being in 5th gear. If it's easier, you could probably also just pull the gear position switch off the bike and measure the resistance of each gear on it. I'm sure someone in the members projects section has recorded all the values in the past when setting up fuel injection. With only a mechanical speedo, it's probably just limited by the gear and RPM. I'm still curious if a B6 CDI would work or not.

  4. Hi,managed to get some time on the 750. When I rode,the restrictions definitely kicked in on higher gears. Jaydee , I found the pink wire ,this where the resistor goes ? And does it matter what resistance values? I notice the pins are smaller than bandit 6 cdi,and redline 500rpm lower than 6 ,so probably can't swap cdi at a guess. Also speedo only goes to 180KMH ,so wonder if any restriction here like some Japanese imports....if anyone can shed any more light I'd be grateful. Cdi has 2 plugs ,one 8pin with 5 wires,yellow,pink,black/blue line,black/red line, and orange/red line. 2nd plug has 4 pin and 4 wires,light brown,black/ yellow line ,orange/yellow line and black/ white line. Thanks to guys who helped on previous post,not much info on these bikes around....

Is it a standard one, first you need to check which model it is, the very first 95/96 1200's were different to the ones released as the Mk1 in 1996, they have 1156 stamped on the barrels and a gsxr type swinging arm as well as different CDI;s, what is the number on the CDI?? post a picture of the left side of the barells and swinging arm,,
  9. The plugs on MK2 ECU are also different to a MK1 ECU
  10. If it has a 6 wire ignition switch it has a resistor
  11. Dunno about the MK2. Maybe someone who knows for sure will clarify soon.

  13. Welcome. Slingshot cdi uses different wiring plugs to the MK1 Blandit so these would have to be changed. You'd also probably have to remove the small anti-hotwire resistor in the B12 ignition switch too. Can you borrow a good B12 to confirm it's a cdi fault? Othewise replacing it is going to be a waste of money and effort.
  14. Good day I have a GSF 1200 Bandit 1996, Firing on cylinder 1/4 only. I swopped the feeds from the CDI unit aroud then 2/3 fires only. I suspect the CDI unit. I've been told I could use a slingshot CDI , Please advise how I do this.

  17. Every now and then he advertises a complete frame for sale. Walk in, pay the man and walk out with your new bling is the way to go.

So about nr.3 on my list: I removed clutch cover and plates today and when I removed the last second to last plate I saw a section of the piano wire tangled on the friction plate where it has gnawed of part of the friction material. I don't know if this is part of the problem or whatever but i know that when I assembled the clutch unit I used a new piece of wire and it was in the groove and both loops was down in the hole where they are supposed to be. So I don't know why or how it has come untangled.... 6 day wait for a new piece of wire. Measured all the friction plates, all where above minimum 2.6 except for the one that had been gnawed on which was about 2.5-2.6. So I ordered a new one. Clutch springs where also above minimum.
  20. Update. 172hp 0.4bar fine tuning with fuel and pitot then more boost
