banoffee Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Sorry* if you don't like the rules however TLs are in and this bike is an exception to the usual 'no Busas' rule because it's cool and we make such exceptions from time to time. *I'm not sorry really, sorry** **You get the idea. 1 Quote
Swirl Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 thing is its not a busa, its a slingshot street fighter with a busa engine so where is the issue, Quote
banoffee Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Yes it is exactly that. However, Busa bikes and engines are off-topic on here except when we see something out of the ordinary like this and we like it. The only issue is the one you appear to be creating... Quote
Swirl Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 it looks to me as an Oss bike with a busa engine not a busa engine in an Oss bike which it seems to look to you, cool wheels any how Quote
banoffee Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Busas and Busa engines remain off-topic. Exceptions are still exceptions (we make them from time to time). Opinions are still opinions (you are welcome to yours). Rules are still rules (we make those). The bike (this thread) is still here because we like is despite the rules so I'm struggling to see the problem. 3 Quote
KATANAMANGLER Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I think @banoffee makes a technical point which is valid. We discussed the bike already as Admins and agreed its a sligshot with a bisa engine and its also mental and up our street. As Admins we simply make the point that we're cool with it but make the technical point that we're not giving the green light for Busas dressed up to look like oldskool bikes ala the katana body kitted GSX 1400s. Let's not argue the small print and take the shine off of what is an interesting bit of engineering which looks to have been executed to a high standard. 1 Quote
vizman Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 it does indeed look like a doughnut with jam in the middle when in actual fact its jam covered in........ 1 Quote
MeanBean49 Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 I like the draw through. And there it stops for me 1 Quote
Blue Posted June 1, 2017 Author Posted June 1, 2017 I thought it interesting due to the slingshot frame being used & the engineering/parts that went into it. Sorry to have caused a ho ha Quote
dupersunc Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 I like the workings of a mind that thinks, Fuck there's no room for the throttle bodies now we've done this engine swap...looks like were gonna have to go draw through turbo. What's the deal with the trick looking billet cam cover? Quote
