Swiss Toni Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Is there any way of getting the wire terminals out of these std. Suzuki block connectors for cleaning? Mine are covered in green shit! Quote
Ben Slabby Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 If you look down the blade of the connector terminal, there's a small tang that prevents it from pulling out, a slim screwdriver can be used to push em back enough to pull the terminal free. Make a note of what goes where. Quote
Swiss Toni Posted April 23, 2016 Author Posted April 23, 2016 Cheers Ben. I've tried that. No joy! Quote
Danm54 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I use an atx pin remover, the side with the single blade wirks a treat. Quote
Rene EFE Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 As above, if you've got the right tool for the job, it becomes a joy Quote

coombehouse Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I have used the pointy end of some cheap tweezers that came from a pound shop. They are very long & thin. A small screwdriver didnt work for me. You push the tool in from the front on the side where there is a little notch. Fiddly though. You could just clean them with switch cleaner & a tooth brush. Swiss Toni Posted April 25, 2016 Author Posted April 25, 2016 Ok lads. Thanks for the input. I'll see if I can get hold of one o them doohickeys! Quote
Simbec1863 Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Remember the golden rule when changing 1 wire out of the old and then into the new especially when changing larger blocks Quote
KATANAMANGLER Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 I replace all of the standard 30 year old block connectors when they fit into another block connector. The only ones I keep are the ones that fit directly into a component. For those you can buy new blades. Connector kits and blades and crimping tools I buy from here Quote
