In other news I picked this Onishi heat magic full titanium hand bent in Japan exhaust system today after a 4 1/2 hour round drive. It looks ace and weighs less than a packet of smokes :pimp:IMG_20240617_162602.thumb.jpg.408f28ecc1ede65b5f3a9e3eee794a77.jpg IMG_20240617_162653.thumb.jpg.fa39ce7a89107b511c550cc1c9d19c55.jpg IMG_20240617_162546.thumb.jpg.ba64a912d2a4196b4a34a2a8fa4d1304.jpg

Picked this blade seat unit up at Rufforth auto jumble today with the thought of perhaps fitting it to the busa. IMG_20240706_144758.thumb.jpg.fa2e108437209cdc078a5e94cbf75aa1.jpg IMG_20240706_144811.thumb.jpg.9dbee63dda3af12dc3eb8e770d8270b7.jpg IMG_20240706_150638.thumb.jpg.a0c4eeb245f3e70e3d99c2ce4f43b610.jpg

Out of curiosity, where are the main places these bikes can lose weight? Wheels, suspension?

Every where but yes the wheels are very heavy compared with modern stuff.

I’m pretty sure you can make 675 wheels fit without to much trouble. The chap I had mine off had a set to fit but I never had em.
-on a separate not I’m selling a 675 xD

looking forward to seeing this one come together Clive…well, apart and back together!

220mm disc and matching caliper bracket on the rear, from either a TL or an Srad.

Still collecting bitz :) heavy duty clutch springsIMG_20240620_182634.thumb.jpg.aab13bfda01483afe4de7500665ff454.jpg .

Hey if they're not already in the engine, would you mind measuring them (L + OD) ?

I'm guessing that the GSX 1400 shares the same spring dimensions and i need some really heavy duty ones so maybe a set of Busa ones will work

Confirmed identical, so that means that along with the gearbox the whole clutch on the 1400 is from the Busa (y)

Old New battery went flat and wouldn't charge back up after leaving the ignition on when it ran out of fuel on tick over. Bought agell one like I see on Ross's at Cadwell Park. Too old one off left it for a couple of day's then thought I'll just try the smart charger one more time a d low nn behold after 24 hours it pumped up to full power again. Also made a interference pipe to fit the an 6 fuel takeoff from the tank to stop any sludge in the bottom of the tank getting into the fuel flow. Also found  eer bottle tops still in there O.oB|IMG_20240716_165226.thumb.jpg.f96a6b0768464f1ddb962c0c1ee0a95d.jpg IMG_20240717_160136.thumb.jpg.7eb4e00e3255cd46ab2c6206f5918112.jpg IMG_20240717_161001.thumb.jpg.59f76ede4d5a5bf57730cd3b026ecbea.jpg
